a list of the demographics of all the countries with a population larger than 100 million people as of 2096 in my sci-fi series 'Sleepwalkers'
India is the largest at 1,400 million (1.4 billion), with the next 3 being Nigeria (476 million), Pakistan (470 million) and Congo (419 million)
The US is not on this list (because its 'broken' into megaregions), and China is split in half (with the North as the 'Parliamentary' PRC, and the South as the 'Semi-Presidential' Chinese Federation)

Doing some worldbuilding musing (figuring out what specific forces are part of HAYMAKER leads me to possibly having to actually nail down what happens with palestine...) #orbatboys

‘The Batman Barricade’ (XX/XX/2076)
• When the Turks suddenly attack the Kurds, the only significant UN-aligned force in Kurdistan to assist is a composite airborne brigade from the EUDF’s 1st Eurocorps (designated as Task Force 55)
• This force of mostly French and Italian paratroopers from 11e BP and the Folgore Brigade respectively will assist Kurdish forces in holding back almost the entirety of the Turkish 9th Corps for 5 days
• After 5 days, the air war finally turns fully in the UN’s favour, and the Turkish offensive begins to collapse
• OPERATION: NEPTUNE’S FURY
o Enabled by newly-achieved air superiority, a UN maritime task force led by two French-built EUDF cruisers (Jeanne d'Arc (D632) & Charles de Gaulle (D635))
o This formation, alongside supporting air power, will either sink or otherwise mission-kill half the Turkish Navy over the next 3 days
o This will enable the vessels of Amphibious Task Force-Med (USN) to advance into the Eastern Mediterranean with 2nd MEB onboard
• OPERATION: STOKER
o Enabled by the success of NEPTUNE’s FURY, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade (USMC) launches several spoiling attacks around the city of İzmir
• These attacks, alongside increasing EUDF presence on their border with Greece, force Turkish forces to release pressure on the eastern front and move forces west.
• OPERATION: HAYMAKER
o After Turkish forces have begun to swing West, multiple UN-aligned divisions (including some airlifted in just a few days prior) cross the border from Syria and move on the city of Adana
o They advance both North and West rapidly
o On the <?/?/76>, Task Force 55 is relieved by the 74th Division (Chinese Federation)

My current #worldbuilding has this (a conversion of old-ish interplanetary exploration torchship) being 'humanitys first spacefaring warship' from 2097 (the story ends in 2101) But watching a lot of Terra Invicta gameplay is making me think about potential 'orbital gunships' in the 2070s #hardscifi

Orbital Transfer Vessel: SCV Argonaut (heavily-modified Tsiolkovsky-class Exploration Vessel; 50-metres long; equipped with 4 high-endurance fusion drives; 30-40 occupants (including 10-20 crew) and 100 tonnes of cargo, 2 small docking hangars (capable of holding an XSF-48) & 2 ventral-mounted docking ports, armed w/ XSSM-919 multi-purpose missiles, XSSM-929 cruise missiles, 2 500kw electro lasers & 2 30mm coilgun turrets; capable of 1.6G acceleration (0.8G cruise)) (NEMM Frigate; The Lunar War)
• The Argonaut was one of the first vessels assembled almost completely in space (rather than being built on Earth in pieces) at the United Nations Space Agency’s Lothal Station in orbit of Luna. From 2085-2097 it served as an exploratory vessel for the UNSA’s activities around the solar system.
