My cats - Tornado and Cirrus - apparently heard about the recent planetary alignment. Found that they made their own “plaything alignment” under the dining room table! I couldn’t get those toys to be in more alignment if I had gotten on my hands and knees to place them there myself! Smart kitties 😸😸

I’m alive!! Tonight’s dinner! It’s a Thai-Vietnamese-Japanese-Chrisland concoction: Udon noodles, baby bok choy, shrimp, bell peppers, leeks, onions, garlic, Thai basil, Thai peppers, oyster mushrooms, and a sauce I made with like 15-20 ingredients. So freaking delicious! 🤤 #ThaiFood #Dinner #Yum

How is everyone doing this gorgeous Friday night? What are y’all up to? Me? Oh, I’m about to watch some college football playoff (Alabama @ Oklahoma). But first, I’m testing out one of the really tiny, baby ghost peppers from my garden. As an avid eater of Thai and habanero, holy hell! 😋🥵🔥

The finished pumpkin cheesecake (I made like 4, this is the largest one). The knives in the background are to prevent anyone from thinking about stealing my cheesecake 😜🤭 But seriously, execution and taste wise, this is the best batch of cheesecakes I’ve ever made! Absolutely incredible!! 🤤

Ragweed is the absolute worst! 🤧 We get this Giant Texas ragweed that grows behind the house (it’s a utility easement with power lines), and they only clear it out when they do work (once every several years). It grows as high as the tops of the houses 😵‍💫 We try to cut it down before late September 😭
