Certainly better than the #Stonehenge golf and Country Club also near Richmond, whose only trilithon seems to be this weak effort!

Brilliant! 😄 The #Stonehenge Subdivision in North Chesterfield, Virginia near Richmond. It feels like I've seen it before and maybe we posted it back in the FB days but it's not on our 100 list yet and we haven't seen it for years! Here's a picture from the subdivision's FB page.

Sloping green lawn and at the top some shrubs surrounding a concrete trilithon with the work Stonehenge in fancy letters. Behind it is a grove or wood.

Just for fun and the solstice, here's a #Stonehenge from 2011: a citrus celebration in Menton, #France. A float in the parade was a Stonehenge made of citrus with (of course why not?) a Druid! As they say, YES! This is what I'm talking about! Happy solstice to all!

A partial Stonehenge including a trilithon and a stretch of uprights with lintels, all covered with citrus, mainly oranges but also lemons and limes.

Surrouned by citrus and a citrus Stonehenge there's a statue of a Druid with a white beard and a purple robe, holding a crystal ball. And a staff with a light in the top end. Trust me, it's brilliant!

Alison's birthday, can Australian film from 1978, includes at least a partial #Stonehenge replica. I had never seen anything about this before. And interestingly the replica is known to be a modern replica by the characters. Anyone know more about this? #Australia #AustralianMovies

Behold Peephenge! #Stonehenge #Easter

A somewhat Stonehenge-like arrangement of marshmallow bunnies and peeps in bright colours, including the 3-lintel stretch, inner trilithon horseshoe and bluestones.In the center a snowman is laid out on the altar peep being sacrificed by druids in white robes, represented by ghost peeps.

Saw this Isaac Witkin #sculpture at the Michener Museum in Doylestown Pennsylvania, just by accident and had to look it up. Sure enough Witkin was assistant to British sculptor Henry Moore during the early 1960s, and we know Moore produced a number of works that reference #Stonehenge.

Sculpture in a courtyard, made of forms that are thin like sheet metal but in unusual flowing forms formed by pouring molten trance on sand. Some of these bronze forms are set upright and some are laid across them supported by the uprights so that it forms a sort of flowing trilithon with thin layers.

Old #ValentinesDay post from the blog gives us this #Stonehenge ish thing in ceramic by Lesley-Anne Raven at Cobweb Corner, a website no longer in existence. What? You don't think of Stonehenge when you think of love? Are you not even trying? I'm sure a number of babies have been made there.

A flat ceramic circle painted white with 3 megaliths of white ceramic with the moon hanging on the tops of the tallest ones. Across frommthose is a similarly made white ceramic trilithon with a short megalith beside iy and a small heart painted red on top pf the lintel stone. Lying on their sides in the empty spaces on the outer circle are 2 very large hearts painted red with much smaller hearts in white stuck to them If they were in proportion at the real Stonehenge the red hearts would be roughly 15 feet high as they lie on their sides and taller then the megaliths of they were stood upright

One of the wonderful small #Stonehenge models in the Celtic Cabinet at the Wiltshire Museum, @wiltshiremuseum.bsky.social , in Devizes! Made in 1824 (if I am not mistaken) And when I say "one of the Stonehenge models" that's what I mean. 1/2

A drawer pulled out to show a small model of Stonehenge as it was at least theoretically when it was complete. On the surface above it in a glass box is another Stonehenge model, this one roughly as it is in modern times.
