Hanwell (Ealing — not New Brunswick). Mostly women’s rugby, especially Trailfinders Women. Also: zero patience for right-wing populists, pathological liars, and science deniers.
After a great social media campaign in Insta, the news is finally out that Ruby Tui is coming to Trailfinders!
This is why we can’t have nice things. This pavement in West Ealing was brand new and looked great a few weeks ago. Didn’t take any time at all before it was covered in grunge, gum and something vile.
“I do not serve things evil, I am evil. I am a skin of evil, left here by a race of Titans, who believed if they rid themselves of me, they would free the bonds of destructiveness.”
I’ve live in Hanwell almost 9 years, and this space has never had a working business in it. It used to be a Domino’s pizza in its last incarnation but an Afghan restaurant, a wedding venue, and 24 hour casino and Grand Pasha restaurant have all tried and failed. Maybe Spicy Rasoli will work?
Unfortunately I can’t see it in the UK, and apparently I can’t use a VPN.
The response from the Rejoin EU party is democratic but disappointing. I very much feel that a two horse race is exactly what Clacton, possibly the country, needs. It seems condescending for them to conclude that @countbinface.bsky.social is a “joke candidate” though.
Kate Zackary’s departure hits hardest. Kate is my daughter’s hero and has been these from the start. Kate’s always made time to talk to us and made a beeline for my daughter immediate the World Cup opener, despite the 69-7 scoreline, and gave her her match shirt. www.instagram.com/reel/DZ-XzMY...
It’s quite cunning the way that Trump has managed to hide the Mind Flayer in plain sight.
Great #TrailfindersWomen lineup for their first ever #PWR premiership semi-final. Can’t wait to get down to Gloucester on Sunday! Thanks to @womensrugbyshow.bsky.social even though you seem to have abandoned BlueSky
I assume the people at the #PWR who came up with the brilliant idea of scheduling all 4 round 18 matches for the exact same time were hoping for a real cliffhanger ending. As the top 4 teams are already locked in, it’s now just a major inconvenience for anyone wanting to watch all four matches.
It seems like an eternity, but #TrailfindersWomen are back at home for their penultimate #PWR league match against #GloucesterHartpury. Great to see Captain America back after injury but we're missing Rachael Malcolm and GH missing Mo Hunt could have an impact. Fri 7:30pm @Vallis Way & BBC iplayer.
Surely the algorithm can’t just be thinking “I’ll promote outdoor heaters because sales have recently slowed down”?
The failing United States disgusts me at how its system of “checks and balances” has completely failed. One disgusting man can both push up my mortgage costs by £3000/year on a whim, and then pillage US taxpayers of $1.8bn and no-one who could stop him is prepared to do so.
What the heck #RFU. I checked before the Red Roses v Ireland match and the WXV New Zealand match was wasn’t on sale. Spotted an “Early Bird” offer on Insta the following week. No email announcement. And for a match in 5 months time there are 0 pairs of seats for sale that aren’t behind the try line.
WTF #EnglandRugby. I checked last week and tickets weren’t on sale for the WXV match v New Zealand. I’m on every mailing list for England Rugby, Red Roses, etc., and nothing. Spotted “buy early bird tickets” on Insta and all of the tickets are sold/blocked unless you want to sit behind the try line?
Given Ellie Killdunne’s recent form and the fact that Emma Sing is the second highest points scorer in the #PWR this season, I assumed Emma might get this start. I guess Ellie is still a crowd-pleaser. Good to see #TrailfindesWomen’s Abi Burton in the squad this week. She’s been on top form.
An influx of Black Ferns at Trailfinders for Maiakawanakaulani Roos and Tanya Kalounivale’s last game.
Well this weekend has been amazing from a Trailfinders perspective. Even if Quins win their last match with 5 point, Trailfinders just need one bonus point to stay ahead, assuming Exeter can keep Sale in check.
15-12 as we approach half time. The busyness of the physios probably reflects how much both sides want this win.
Almost perfect results for Trailfinders today. Great match from Bristol, leading to Harlequins’ 6th loss in a row. Both Ruahei Demant and Liana Mikaele-Tu'u bring so much to the game. Saracens also ended Sale’s winning streak, leaving Sale and Quins 1 point above TF, but they have two games in hand.
A strong lineup for tomorrow’s fight for a place in the #PWR top 4. #TrailfindersWomen are understandably missing Kate Zackary due to her awful eye injury. Hopefully the vast amount of publicity work the internationals have been doing this week hasn’t stopped them training!
A nice review of our the Black Ferns’ addition to the PWR and Trailfinders Women. I’m sorry to see Maia Roos and Tanya Kalounivale head home after this week but glad that Alana Borland and Georgia Ponsonby will still be here (although Georgia is playing in PAC4)
Quins seem to have lost their mojo a little bit recently. They only have 2 matches to go so a lot will depend on Bristol. Bristol came very close against the stronger Sarries a few weeks ago and they still have Ruahei Demant for one more match.
