These two paragraphs in particular made me feel insane. Sorry, you're trying to make an argument about moral disengagement, but you handwave *Ken Paxton* and the broader MAGAfication of the Republican party? Hello??

And yes, we have a rough mirror image of Platner in Texas with Paxton. Republicans here ousted an accomplished conservative Senate leader, John Cornyn, in favor of the corrupt, personally flawed Paxton. His most passionate supporters can at least articulate a reason. They see Paxton as having stood up to the "swamp" and being willing to "fight" whatever bogeyman they want vanquished at the moment.

Paxton has never found an actual principle that would stop him from giving them what they want. He's not as effective as they think and does not merit the label "conservative." But at least you can see how his supporters get to where they are.

My stove with a beautiful, custom wooden stove cover. And it's sealed like a cutting board on top so we can prep food on it. There's also a cute tiny cutting board he made that we set our salt and pepper shakers on. And three of the cutting boards on the left are also Bob originals.

I sent a picture from Wayfair or something of a wooden stove cover and asked if my father-in-law could make one for us and he replied, "Why would you want to put wood on a stove top?"
