Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi)
@dndi
International non-profit developing safe, effective, and affordable treatments for the most neglected patients.
Dengue is no longer just a tropical disease. As the climate warms, the dengue-carrying mosquito is expanding its reach to new regions. Despite this growing global threat, there is still no specific treatment for dengue. Together with our partners, we're working to change this!

Global health is high on the agenda at #WHA79, and voices like Dr @moniquewasunna.bsky.social's remind us what progress really looks like.
We welcome discussions on Global Health Architecture reform & stress biomedical innovation must be core. Market forces alone won’t deliver public‑health R&D. Reform must strengthen public‑interest models & ensure innovation is governed & financed for impact & equity. #WHA79 dndi.org/statements/2...
Coalitions matter – but how they’re built matters more. At the @isntd.org arbovirus event, @isabelaqribeiro.bsky.social highlights how the #DengueAlliance, led by endemic countries, is collaborating to close treatment gaps for dengue, with equity and access built in from the start. #WHA79
New health tools are vital for #NTD control & elimination. Partnerships have delivered breakthroughs like acoziborole, but gaps remain. We urge countries to finalize the NTD R&D blueprint, invest in inclusive research & drive innovation for climate‑sensitive diseases. #WHA79 dndi.org/statements/2...
We welcome continued efforts by Member States to advance the #PandemicAgreement & PABS annex. While negotiations continue, a PABS system – that delivers equitable innovation and access – is essential for preparedness. Read our full intervention here: dndi.org/statements/2... #WHA79 @who.int
