I personally prefer Shining Force 1 but I think the majority like Shining Force 2 the best. I do like that its very much the same game design but better (except for the random overworld battles fuck random battles in an SRPG). Also my least favourite ending. Why didn't the princess snog Sarah?
One of of my favourite actually competent video game dads, though, is Cube's dad Kato. He's so sweet with his spherical robot child! My favourite fics are the ones where he and Darthe become Cube's two dads <3 . Darthe is a jerk at the start of the chapter but becomes a good ally later on.
People are discussing favourite dads on Father's Day. A lot of my favourite dads (Osborne, Asgore, Grimson) are actually crap as fathers to their children. I just happen to want to call them daddy <3 Trails has quite a few both actually competent and hot dads, though.
