I once had a recipe that needed 400g of peeled potatoes. I selected what I felt was the right amount, peeled them and put them on the scale and… Exactly 400g. I took this photo to send it to my wife. It’s from 2018. I will never delete it.
Opened my YouTube app and was greeted by this horrifying AI man who would definitely eat you and wear your skin.
Here’s a toy I love for a stupid reason: TR Sky Shadow. My wife worked a job with a manager who had no experience in the industry she works in. She’d come home and tell me stories about this man I’d never seen, so I pictured sky shadow instead, sitting confused behind a desk trying to look busy.
A weird thing I’ve found myself disappointed by lately is Transformers toy packaging. I’d argue it peaked with Cybertron but even TR had a magic that the SS86 blandness just can’t compare against. Plain black boxes? Nah.
Bad news guys: FansHobby Lightning Eagle sucks. Or at least my copy does (it was still factory sealed). Tabs that won’t lock in, parts that absolutely won’t slide past each other like they’re supposed to, and joints that can’t hold weight. It looks amazing, but it’s just not up to standard.
Every year I ask and every year I am left to dream. It’s TFN Season which means I am once again requesting my personal Holy Grail: A picture of Overlord drawn by @jroberts332.bsky.social signed by @nickroche.bsky.social
Is this as good as reading it at full size? No, but it’s damn close, way cheaper and much more portable. Should do this with way more stories.

The Energon toys are indeed huge and low-poly. UT has my favourite aesthetic for toys - an exact middle ground between realism and cartoonish, like a tonka truck come to life
