A map of Portland, Oregon, from purpleair.com showing various air quality readings. It seems to range from about 140 to 160. And it's about 98F as well. Just gross.

Still miles better than September 2020. That's when I saw the sensors maxed out for almost two weeks, and the sun looked like the Eye of Sauron.

Got outta the house for a bit.

Photo of Multnomah Falls and the bridge taken from the lower level. It's a sunny day and there's a small ribbon of blue sky at the top. It's a pretty dramatic picture. But it's the same one taken by every tourist. Only so many ways to shoot a waterfall, really.

It's a rather disconcerting look.

The text has been altered to The Americats, because of course it was.

This was a surprise Xmas gift from my wife and I couldn't have been more surprised nor more grateful.

I got these and they were a hit with my nerd crew

A stack of black 3/4 sleeve baseball tees with "Is it Yursday Yet?" On the left breast. The text is in white, except for "Yursday," which is in eye popping pink, with a white bleed of about 1/8th inch beneath. I got these from https://nightowlcustomapparel.com at 71st and NE Glisan in Portland, Oregon.

It took me three weeks to execute this simple design in Illustrator, because I hadn't touched it in 20 years.

Ollie and Stewie already know this

Stewie (a tabby cat) curled up like an @ sign and Ollie a gray (grey?) short haired cat. Stewie is laying on a Pendleton blanket, Ollie is adjacent to said blanket, but on the (sage green) couch. Ollie is looking at the viewer, Stewie is sleeping because he doesn't care about getting his picture taken yet again. Ollie is new to the whole thing as is intensely interested.

Took me WEEKS to remember how to Adobe Illustrator, but I got there. Also, if you are in PDX, Night Owl is an excellent screen printing shop. I intend to make more silly shirts and whatnot.

The best part of an espresso machine is espresso martinis at home

A rather terrible picture of an espresso martini with a demitasse and a cocktail shaker in the background. I inherited an 80's era La Pavoni espresso machine and after I rehabbed it, it has been a game changer for morning coffee. And now, evening coffee!
