Let me tell you how my Monday is better than yours @itsaderpdrone.bsky.social cooking me breakfast pancakes while I listen to the lilo and stitch album. I think we should all start having better Monday mornings to get us over the worst day of the week

They’re not amazing but I’ve been working on trying to paint more recently as a way to starve off the Big Sad(tm). I’m quite pleased with how these two have come out :)

And last but not least! Dessert! A humble plum and orange caramel sits on a pastry base, topped with marshmallows that have been threatened with a blow torch.
First dishes served! We have stuffed peppers with tofu and hoisin! And a tofu and shallot not so meat pie! The peppers had a great flavour and were very nicely done! The roux in the pie was incredible and the shallots really helped to cut through that flavour!
While they’re in the oven Derp is steaming ahead with making what???? The plums get sliced and put into another pie dish.
Combining the ingredients it looks like we’ve got a not so meat pie!
Next we chopped shallots, prepped the last of the tofu, made a quick beef stock and Derp started a roux
So first he mixes the tofu, hoisin and shallots together, and cores out some peppers!

This started out as a little goofy joke between me and @itsaderpdrone.bsky.social during lockdown and when we used to have to travel away. It’s such a little thing but honestly, it brings such a little grin to my face when we get to dump handfuls of sugar on each other.
