Because I’m a) old & sore and b) a haver of multiple chronic illness/conditions, this little baby is one of my most favourite possessions. Tonight I reorganized, refilled, and replaced the labels on it. 😁

All good here, but had to keep kiddo home today because the air quality here was so bad and she has asthma so it wasn’t safe for her to go to her mostly-outdoors sports camp. Last night we had the worst air quality in the world 🙃

I have the sweetest houseguest this weekend. Beanie got fixed today in my town and my partner lives about 2 hrs away, so he’s staying here for a few days because he doesn’t travel very well. He is the best boy. 10/10 no notes.

Finally (after like 4 failed attempts) found a ring that fits my nose piercing properly. I really like how this fits and feels, and hopefully it will help my piercing settle properly because I think the stud was irritating it. 🤞🏻

Got myself into a mood today and put my lip stud back in, and swapped my nose stud for a double ring. I’m undecided on the ring. It tickles a bit. Might swap for a smaller single ring tomorrow. NGL, being 40 and giving zero fucks is pretty great.

Today marks 2 years since I left my ex husband. It’s kind of wild to think how different my life is today, 2 years on. So grateful for awesome healthy kids, supportive family, my wonderful partner, and my amazing friends. I’m so lucky to be where I am now and I don’t take any of it for granted.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of this series. Not gonna lie I was annoyed by the red used on book 3 until I saw someone on ig talking about how if you put the series under UV light, all the books glow except book 3, making it invisible. I have to imagine this was by design and honestly… flawless.

My littlest kiddo turned 10 today. Tomorrow is her bday party w her pals. My sister is an incredible human and made this SPECTACULAR cake for her, and I made vegan cupcakes to go along with it.

ampus closed because of massive snowfall today, but our DNA seminar is running online. We’re using a software that allows alignment of genetic sequences from different individuals and/or species for comparison. Very cool!!
