We began asking our contacts on the ground in Maine about Troy Jackson earlier today after seeing many suggestions that he should replace Graham Platner against Susan Collins
In our discussions we have received troubling information about not only Jackson's behavior, but the behavior of many prominent Maine Democrats toward women more broadlv. Both as a result of the credibility of the sources and in the interest of not seeing our movement make the same mistake twice, we are choosing to share some of this now.
As Maine Senate President in a state senate caucus meeting several years ago, Troy Jackson in a heated disagreement struck a female colleague with a bottle he threw at her. There are many witnesses. and it appears this is a widespread open secret within Maine politics and not an isolated incident

I never understood the bird thing until we hung up hummingbird feeders and hanging moss bird houses. Now I have multiple generations of Cardinals & Wrens that nest here. I get to see baby birds & even named the hummingbirds & birds. I totally get it now. It's just peaceful.

Baby bird is unamused that dinner delivery is taking so long. Dad is totally not getting tipped.

Aren't they cute? I think we planted them a little early (chaos gardening) but the vines are taking over the deck so we'll see what happens! This one still had the flower attached when I took the picture.

I'm not supposed to eat any of it, but I love my lil back deck #garden. We have 2 butternut squash growing, 2 cucumbers (4 total), a 1/2doz tomatoes, & a few handfuls of blueberries. Strawberries are struggling this year, only have had 2/3. The rain & heat are xtra rough #GardenSky #BloomScrolling

I think tonight requires a gummy, finally watching The Vampire Lestat, and organizing beads. These are the easy ones, they haven't been open.

Seed beads, fuse beads (are those the same?), and plastic peg boards to make designs. These are all unopened. Working on the candy beads now.

This box is full of candy beads & seed beads. The Littlest Monster left them behind & doesnt want them. For all the shittiness, figured I should post something positive. Behold! The 1st 2 tomatoes of the season. They're small for Big Boys but we've discovered over the last 3yrs the high temps make for smaller tomatoes. Still damn yummy. I haven't eaten a tomato since the MCAS thing but I'm gonna!

Timeline cleanse. Sound up. My oasis back deck. Funny thing is, I'm in the middle of suburbia. I'm in a HOA & can't do anything to our yard. EXCEPT they can't see our backyard at all, and especially not the deck, without doing some serious trespassing. So we've focused on the back.

I wanted you & Wings to know, you may not realize it, but you now have an honorary queer child. She lives in NC, just started a life on her own (with Goose, my grandcat) a month ago, & starts school to become a RN next month, & you both made it possible w/your generosity. Etsy find. Turns out the artist is from a town 20 minutes up the road. Even more amazing is usps didn't lose it or send it on a country wide tour. Artist is Elaine Coyne. And yes, I'm totally in love with it.

Haven has claimed the small fan I have on my dresser as hers. This is her not only in front of the fan as she melts across the dresser like a teenager, but she's completely blocking my TV sensor.
