London could be a clean air global city, but we need to act now. We’re asking London’s local election candidates to: - Adopt WHO targets - Ditch diesel and help workers breathe easy - Deliver less traffic and more movement - Lead the way on warm homes and lower bills
Things have got better, but London’s air is still dirtier than international guidelines for safe air. The human impact of air pollution is people dying early, childhoods spent in and out of hospital and added pressure on our health services.
Our colleagues @healthyairldn.bsky.social have teamed up with 25+ other organisations to call for bolder commitments on air pollution - and secure action from London’s future councillors & borough mayors.
Road traffic causes 20% of PM2.5 + 30% of NO2 bit.ly/4sYcSYi On 7 May, London boroughs take charge of almost all roads & kerbsides. They have the power to electrify London - but only if we push them⚡ Join colleagues @cleancitiescampaign.org to demand bold action now ➡️ bit.ly/4sC332G #pollution
‼️ Got a spare 10 minutes this evening? That’s all it takes to respond to the government’s domestic burning consultation. Burning wood is a major source of toxic PM2.5, which is linked to serious illness + disease. Make your voice count by following our guidance: bit.ly/4cg4DSe
