saw a new therapist today which is always An Experience™ but at one point she asked me to visualise a place that made me feel calm and it was only when she asked me to describe it out loud that I realised I'd panicked and visualised the meadow on Naboo where Anakin and Padmé have a picnic
missed closing night (and a few others I was keen to see, including Minotaur and The Man I Love) due to a cold, but I had a wonderful Sydney Film Festival. Saw some incredible films, and have an even longer list of others to see after chatting with people about what they saw. Cinema! boxd.it/kNI17
incredibly humbled by getting this notification while responding to a DM from @apeascends.bsky.social asking me about Doctor Who. it really made me feel seen in a "(derogatory)" way
lord give me the confidence of the straight man who interrupted a group of four queers casually discussing a gay movie we'd just seen to tell us how much it reminded him of portrait of a lady on fire. i'm so excited for him to see his third queer film, it's going to blow his fucking mind.
it's the most wonderful time of the year (sydney film festival) (you can see what i've been watching on letterboxd) boxd.it/kNI17
cold weather + laundry day = a terrifying insight into just how much bigger i am than @trev93.bsky.social
briefly thought I bled rainbows in the night, til I discovered I'd somehow slept on an open bag of m&ms
in hyde park, a bushtail possum ran past us and clambered up a tree. passerby: what is that? me: it's a possum. passerby: what? me: a possum! passerby: (beat) it's a nice cat.
new mirror new haircut new apartment ... and a newly discovered grey streak in the fringe to join the sides and chest hairs
everyone please meet fatigué, an incredible gift from a friend. she's named for my favourite french word to hear while suppressing the urge to say, "same." (it's pronounced fatty-gay)
What if the one thing standing between you and your future was the ghost of who you used to be? Sydney, don't miss your chance to experience Homebodies on the big screen, in this special Trans Day of Visibility community screening! Tickets just $12: queerscreen.org.au/sessions/hom...
Dulcie, Eddie, Cath and Abby are back! A new case and supporting cast means plenty of mystery and hijinks, trading chilly Tassie for sticky, humid NT. Feels just as fresh, funny and queer as series one, with writing, directing and performances firing on all cylinders. Can't wait to watch the rest.
revisiting the third Sly Racoon game and i totally forgot it includes a wildly racist mystical Aboriginal "guru" character who speaks in a made up gibberish language, teaches Murray to be peaceful, how to use "Dreamtime magic" then sends him on a "walkabout" to discover himself.
parents have foxtel, and oh to be a fly on the wall when someone pitched doing a section on the home page to mark Chinese new year, and they settled on a selection of films and shows about horses, none of them Chinese, rather than Chinese cinema. (don't worry, it's zebra and donkey inclusive)
all your favourites are back! meryl, anne hathaway, emily blunt, catherine tate as perpetually offended closeted gay man
homophobic that this is the best photo my bf took of me presenting my first film festival program launch (we go on sale tomorrow, if you're in sydney come see queer movies!)
council worker: are you sure the silhouette is recognisable? graphic designer: of course cw: i'm just worried it's not obvious who they are gd: it says "AC/DC" cw: maybe we should use the photo gd: you wanted bright and colourful cw: and? gd: it's black and white cw: right... wait, i have an idea
xmas shopping, browsing the markets, wandering around the harbour, sitting in the shade with a drink and a view of the opera house, then capping it off by getting the ferry home – love an excuse to play tourist with @trev93.bsky.social
