On June 4, 2026, removal flights on U.S. military aircrafts resumed after pausing in September 2025. The Trump administration had previously used U.S. military planes to carry out a total of 88 removal flights between January and September 2025.
There has been a continued escalation of forced third country transfers with a first-time flight to the Central African Republic (CAR), and repeated flights to Costa Rica, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Honduras, Moldova, Panama, Paraguay, and Sierra Leone.
In June, IFM tracked 1,148 flights between U.S. detention centers, known as "shuffle flights." These flights have dramatically increased as part of the administration's cruel mass deportation and detention agenda.
@iceflightmonitor.bsky.social tracked 288 removal flights to 36 countries in June, with a spike in removal flights to Mexico over recent months, amidst a pause on land deportations. This reflects a dramatic shift in the mode of removal from land to air.
This week, ICE Flight Monitor @iceflightmonitor.bsky.social released its June 2026 report, delivering data to shine a light on the abuses of the Trump administration's cruel and lawless detention and deportation campaign.

From our latest ICE Flight Monitor report, US immigration enforcement flights reached a record high of 1,794—a 122% jump from March '25. People are being shuffled between detention centers, separated from loved ones & legal counsel, deported to danger & sent to unfamiliar places without due process.

A new report by Human Rights First & @raicestexas.bsky.social exposes how families are imprisoned, threatened with separation, & denied basic rights at the reopened Dilley Processing Center. There is no safe or rights-respecting way to detain families. We need to end family detention, permanently.
