Artificial bones are allowed, by the way, and I'm dying to test this out.

I love scrolling through the list of allowed/prohibited items on the TSA website because there's always something new that gets a laugh out of me (artificial bones this time). Or, in the case of the cattle prod, continues to get a laugh out of me. Whoever wrote this description deserves a raise 🤣

This cat is obsessed with my Growlithe dress and I can't figure out why. He's been hovering for days waiting for me to finish sewing the stripes and settled on top of it the second I pulled the last pin out 🤣

Putting out the convention call, cosplay and artsy friends!

Okay, gang, I need your recommendations:

My local cosplay group and I are dropping NYCC plans because of ReedPop's connection to ICE via their parent company. We still want to hit at least one con this year.

The current plan is to aim for Brooklyn Comic Con in June. We'd like to consider others as well. We're south central NY and could handle a 3--5 hour drive.

Give me your favorite NY/PA/NJ/MD/New England cons!

I'm tired of our non-straight, non-white siblings constantly being on the defensive. I'm angry about how much they feel they have to keep quiet so they don't invite more hatred. And I'm sick over how much they're expected to just suck it up.

Put the bullies and trolls on blast. I want screenshots of comments. I want names. I want call-outs. I want all of us to know who to report and block and shun at conventions. THIS is what we should be gatekeeping.

Somehow I remembered to post my WIP on IG but not anywhere else 🤣 The side and back panels are laced, and the remaining grommets are on the bottom hem. Focusing on lacing those, then shifting to the collar that I've been putting off 😅

Itsnotelsie as Devil Trigger Dante from Devil May Cry 5. Foam was used to create the horns, spikes, and scales, a mesh shirt was painted to look like his torso, and body paint was used to connect everything on the fave, neck, and shoulders

Itsnotelsie as an imagined Devil Trigger Vergil from Devil May Cry 5. The jacket and vest were purchased and updated to make the trim and embroidery look 3D. The helmet was made of foam and clear worbla and lit with fairy lights kidden in the horns.
