Indeed, they should. Raises a question I've been pondering: wonder where administration officials will be traveling overseas after the midterms and what that means for extradition and such...would be good for people (e.g., press) to start asking.

An interesting article in @liberalcurrents.com today—a bit wandering, tho'—but this part near the end is really worth much more focus. It's what I've been working on in various circles and it's frustrating because a lot of folks on the left don't seem to understand *this* is the fight...

This is what debate nerds like me refer to as begging the question. A detailed policy plan to provide more efficient government services has nothing to offer against opponents who reject the idea that the government should serve the people. Even if the name is gone now, I wish the court would order someone jailed and fined since they missed the court-mandated deadline. There must be consequences, there must be accountability.

I was just looking at some @dataforprogress.org polling in which people want the USG to spend a lot more on housing. I'm as big a fan of bigger (and better) gov't as anyone, but not sure how this is a federal issue. Infrastructure in many cases yes, but housing? bit.ly/4aTDRNb

This is Zapus. She was a sweet, pugnacious cheagle who loved rubbing her belly on grass, sand, snow, whatever. She sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago due to complications from kidney dysplasia.

@punchbowlnews.bsky.social delivering messaging for Republicans, as usual. Alternative: Democrats have refused to vote for funding when the Trump White House has demonstrated they will not follow the law, Hill Republicans won't push back, and people will pay dearly with healthcare cost increases.

It’s important to note that Democrats instigated this shutdown. They rejected a “clean” funding proposal and demanded significant and expensive health care policy changes in exchange for their votes.

@cnn.com - you're doing the country a disservice when you say Trump is sending in the "National Guard to tackle crime in US cities." He may be doing it in the name of crime, but anyone paying even a little attention knows that's bogus. Do better.

This was Zapus, a boisterous cheagle. She loved belly crawls in the sand and grass and snow and everywhere. She had kidney dysplasia and passed away this morning less than 2y old…now at peace but her people are very sad and miss her.
