I finally got a Kaweco Sport in my birthday shopping yesterday and I am in love 😍 I inked it up with Diamine Writer’s Blood.
Spent the evening reading a book while listening to some of my all-time favorite albums on my new digital audio player…I really needed a break from doomscrolling.
I extended my free will further to finally mix up some sourdough starter. We will see what happens, but hey I finally did it and that makes me happy. I got this jar a year ago to make a starter, and then 2025 happened fast and furiously.
I DIY’ed a strawberry matcha latte for the first time and I gotta say, impressed with my own free will today.
Final product is delicious. I used my new cast iron bread oven and the crust is amazing.
It was a very stationery Christmas for me…I got a beautiful Soolla project bag AND pouch for all my supplies, along with a Tom’s Studio Wren pen. I got the Lumos last year for Christmas and the Wren is equally amazing.
My 2026 Hobonichi finally arrived and my Yumi Kitagishi cover set is complete! 😍 now I just need to set everything up.

Maybe the tiniest hints of pink, but likely just wishful thinking. Sigh.
The outside is crispy and chewy and the inside is pillowy soft and fluffy. This is maybe the best bread I’ve ever made…definitely a new favorite recipe.
Kiddo wanted to do the claw machine at the boba place and I had cash, so I put $1 in and managed to get two on a single play. 💜 he is my lucky charm!
Said book and said tea. The tea tastes like if a Biscoff cookie was a black tea, it was perfect with some half and half and vanilla sugar.

The result: easily the best brownies I’ve ever made. They are so fudgy and rich I thought my kid’s eyes were going to pop out of his head 😂 I added a handful of bittersweet chocolate, a handful of semi-sweet, and finished with a sprinkle of Maldon sea salt. Perfection.
My project from the intro to laser cutting tonight…now I have access to a Glowforge and two other laser cutters!!
