‘Thunder From A Clear Blue Sky’ Malarkey Books 2023. Short fiction/flash here and there.
My in-laws have this in their cabin, so we’re all set in case we get a fire in 1961.

What an interesting novel. No plot whatsoever, characters not particularly sympathetic, yet still a very enjoyable reading experience. Beautiful writing in places, and intriguing ideas.
Really loved this from @joshuatrentbrown.com. Sweeping, evocative, grounded but with just the right smattering of the magical. Get on it.
Everyone is in here shitting on David Brooks but I’ll have to know he’s a devoted father who loves his daughter.

I get this tho. Fashions, hairstyles etc have barely changed (among adults) in the last 20 years. This is still how people look today.

Transmission failed with 3 hours to go of a 24-hour drive. Limped the rest of the way at 40mph and now we’re here. Minnesota for the next 5 weeks.
