Well worth the trip. Beautiful place. Many nice places to eat in town. Also kids get an AR tablet with their entrance which is super engaging. And there’s dressing up in the clock tower!
Dear IKEA, if you call something a hanging rail, and put this picture on the listing, don't be surprised that your customer is pissed off to be driving a 2 hour round trip to get the tiny perpendicular bar above from which the bloody shelf struts are supposed to hang. 😠
Here come the storms - YAY Corresponding bangs and flashes around us, but not a huge amount of rain.
Processing endless photos from Namibia. This pelican is 100% channelling @daphnethecat.com although the target is fish, not ham.
Only a few days of mega holiday left…real world is encroaching. Started scribbling a short story by the pool yesterday which is a good sign of a proper rest and reset. And I think this is the most impressive random iPhone snap I’ve ever taken.
Haven’t posted any holiday snaps yet but this for the nerds, I have found the Southern Cross, and the second big star to the left is Alpha Centauri. The Namibian desert sky is making me very happy.
No internet for days so nice to be here briefly. As a treat here are yesterday’s elephants, a termite mound and a dikdik pic.
Fabulous opening day for the urban park @paulbernal.bsky.social
The FB pile-on reached its peak with this: “You only have to look at her profile to know what type of family they are“ My profile picture:
Currently being piled on by the keyboard parking wardens of the local Facebook group. It’s incredibly entertaining. No council enforcement or police or indeed pitchfork-wielding hordes have popped round yet. 🤭🤣🤣🤣
This is a cat check point. Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone #ProofOfCat
My favourite line from @privateeyenews.bsky.social Wes Streeting Post Mortem. May I say I would still pay good money for this.
OH on the way to France for work & play. Two cats making sure the other meal ticket stays put.
Someone is trying to tell me it’s nearly time to stop for the day.
We were given one of those contoured scratching-pad-cum-bed things in France and it was an instant hit despite many sofas and beds and other alternatives including a basket by this fire. If Layla leaves it, Fred takes possession.
