Doomers are complying in advance. I block on sight. Guaranteed one egregious typo per post.
I totally agree that misogyny is men believing and acting entitled to women's bodies, attention, labor, etc. I think the idea of latent homosexuality is trying to get at straight men perform for and interact with other men, often supposedly to attract women but with no reference to women.
Props to CSpan for making Clayton look like he's coming off a multi-day bender.
TBC, I don't care if men make themselves infertile. I just thought the whole game was supposed to be about how virile, which isn't technical about procreation but I thought that was the subtext.
He does look like Yertle the Turtle. But appreciating that requires Dr. Seuss's work having the same cultural currency as it did 30 years ago in perpetuity. It doesn't even have that now.
Not just my opinion. The Global Food Security Index conducts an annual assessment of 113 countries' food systems. US ranks 3rd for Safety and Quality and 13th overall because of relatively low scores in availability and affordability and moderate score on sustainability.
I looked it up. Dayen talked to Platner "last week" on an article posted July 2nd. That is at least 2.5 weeks *after* the NYT's report that included Racicot broke up with Platner after a "disturbing incident" that he knew was documented as rape. 2.5 weeks after he lied to endorsers and told them.
10 hours ago?!? Also, Jesus forgives? Chef's kiss. Christian churches unmatched for grooming people to normalize and accept rape and sexual assault.
They don't even have a consistent description of the damage. I am no box-cutter expert, but I am questioning the ability of some rando successfully cutting not 1 but 2 171' long gashes into Rhinolining. That's almost 60 yards.
It involved tying into existing electricity and one 2" hole in the wall per split.
Cahokia was the the largest city in the world at one within the last 1,000 years. Approximately 8,000 after the introduction of agriculture in Europe. You don't get cities without agriculture.
My ADHD kid sends me a file with a plan for how he's going to get ready for school 🤦
I had to go look. It is maybe even more unserious than I had even imagined:
Fun little pair of charts. Just driving home if Trump had just left the tariffs and Iran alone, he'd probably have been a pretty popular president heading in to the midterms. Even with immigration horrors, election shenanigans, and gutting safety net programs.
So, according to Energy Information Agency, we are at the peak price adjusted for inflation as of 5/11/2026 with no genuine prospect of it even leveling out?
Text from my dad last night (his unfortunately is that this is what it takes not that the admin is losing support).
Sure, the real cost of gas is relevant for the economic impact on consumers. But the nominal is just as relevant for how consumers feel. The difference between $5.90/gal (what I filled up at last night) and $6.00/gal is $6.60. Not a huge impact on my budget but it still feels significant.
Really excited for $6/gal. Actually really glad that I work remotely and we prioritized living in in transit-accessible neighborhood in the city. Too bad our community costs are only the most immediate of the worries.
I was trying to do you a solid. You are embarrassing yourself with not understanding racism and white fragility and misapplication of ad hominem. I intentionally described your actions and impact. Not you as a person. Until you told someone you thought was BIPOC to get their house in order.
Daily reminder: we are obligated to deny them any benefit of the doubt about not being fundamentally motivated by white supremacy and racism. Woke 3.0* won't just require preclearance but affirmative evidence that any changes expand Black political power. Cartoon by @jesseduquette.bsky.social
