Saw this enormous scarlet elf cup fungus today. It must be enjoying the wet weather.
One result of all this rain can be observed at Chew Valley Lake. Just two months ago it was so low you could make out the old field boundaries (see 1st pic). Pictures 2 and 3 show it today. It's full. Amazing.
Even on the heights of Mendip, it was still wet. But Islay loved it.

We had another lovely walk on Mendip today. It was brisk - you can see why. At her venerable age, she needs her coat to keep her joints from stiffening up. She loves it up here.

We had a sunny but splashy outing on Mendip today, plus lunch at Hunters Lodge.
