When he was named PotY in 2016, it was arguably an ominously lit picture and some thought the M was intentionally placed to look like devils horns on his head. This year, the photo composition is much more flattering to him. He meets the criteria, fair enough. But I wish they’d used his mug shot.

Rick Riordan Presents is one small branch of the Disney-Hyperion Publishing family.
We aim to publish about four books a year.
All these will be books that my editor Stephanie Lurie and I feel will appeal to kids who like my books. In other words, they will probably be some type of middle grade adventure, with lots of humor and action, and probably draw on myth or folklore in some way.
Our goal is to publish great middle grade authors from underrepresented cultures and backgrounds, to let them tell their own stories inspired by the mythology and folklore of their own heritage. Over the years, I've gotten many questions from my fans about whether I might write about various world mythologies, but in most cases I knew I wasn't the best person to write those books. Much better, I thought, to use my experience and my platform at Disney to put the spotlight on other great writers who are actually from those cultures and know the mythologies* better than I do.

"Ted Cruz didn't win Iowa, he illegally stole it. That is why all of the polls were so wrong any [sic] why he got more votes than anticipated. Bad!" Trump tweeted Wednesday morning. The tweet disappeared within minutes of posting and was replaced by with another that no longer included the word "illegally."
He followed up with an ultimatum:
"Based on the fraud committed by
Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa
Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified," he tweeted. Trump said later Wednesday that he'll likely sue. "I probably will; what he did is unthinkable," he said during an interview with Boston Herald Radio.

I found out today, the injured hawk I captured and sent to a rehab facility last month had to be euthanized. He was unable to recover from his injuries well enough to be released. At least he had a pain-free death. RIP big guy.
