Of my colleagues, none have been able to frustrate and anger, amuse and engage me in a single conversation the way Lindsey could. We travelled the world together, and while we disagreed fiercely on many policy issues, he was both wonderfully complicated and a positive and tireless partner on the bills we led together.
Just this past week, we traveled to the NATO summit and had dinner together to celebrate his birthday. We were brainstorming ideas for how we could continue to legislate together, and it's painful to consider that I won't get that chance.
I will deeply miss him, his humor, his global view, and his tireless optimism. Annie and I are keeping his family, including his beloved sister Darline, in our prayers.

However, eleven days before the primary election, news reports began to emerge that Platner, just a few months after his marriage, had sexted with multiple women in 2023. Platner's wife Amy Gertner quickly posted a video on social media, saying that she and Graham had worked through their issues.
Many were upset at the time about how the leaks were unfair since Platner's wife Amy Gerter had told a former campaign staffer about their infidelity issues in confidence.
Then, on June 4th, The New York Times came forward with the story that he was previously abusive to an ex-girlfriend, Lyndsey Fifield. However, The New York Times admitted that they could not corroborate the story. Many dismissed it quickly since Lyndsey Fifield had a history of lying about Palestinian activists. She had also led a group that was accused of lying about the sexual assault accusers of Brett Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearings.

I watched Belgium/Senegal at the bar in Ghent. First place I tried, they laptop they were using to stream the game to a projector crapped out and instead of burning the place down, everyone just pulled out their phones. Delightful people but deeply unserious, tbh
