Because this dude is such a snowflake and posts and blocks, I’m screenshotting to demonstrate how the manosphere seeps into everything. This dude fails to understand that gay men weren’t criminalised because they were cis men but because they were gay and that the people who did the criminalising…
really get a thick coating, but it’s 100% black. Update, yes reader, it is very good! I think next time I’ll use a 60 or 70% chocolate though and more of it. I might even buy a cooling rack!
I also had cornflour regular sugar and half a tub of marscapone. Not being a ‘baker’, I don’t have a wire rack for cooling or coating the backsides with chocolate so I just held it, spooned it on and dropped it back on the grease proof paper. Quite a lot of chocolate just ran through and I can’t
I don’t know why but I’ve been obsessing about florentines. So today I decided to make some. Never good with recipes, and not only didn’t have any angelica (seems that stuff no longer is available to buy in normal places) or flour or castor sugar or cream. I did have candied fruit, nuts & chocolate
Finally got a response from my MP about Supreme Court ruling. I must stay #LibDems are very disappointing. Much better from @drewhendry.bsky.social when he was my MP. This is the response to my original letter, not to the one from @goodlawproject.bsky.social no acknowledgment from that one
Tbf, it was ok. I got the gourmet version cos he toasted the bread
Mainly because they host pretty bigoted stuff like this:
Today in Terf island come news that Rowling has bankrolled yet another breastfeeding charity because apparently the existing ones are over-run with lactating trans women. Prosecco Stormfront is at fever-pitch about the ‘erasure’ of motherhood.
Sometimes freezer scraping because of no time to shop pays dividends. Tonight I’m thankful not all the venison burgers got eaten on my birthday
I mean they literally say that a binary immutable model of sex doesn’t represent human biological diversity, but you keep on yelling at clouds (and people who actually know what they’re talking about)
Please enjoy the free of charge timeline cleanse of my puppy with a cherry petal on his nose
I’m incredibly lucky that my work takes me to some amazing places
Speaking of snake oil & longevity bullshit research… When I lived in Cheltenham the Waitrose there (do not fucking judge me!) sold white chocolate & matcha bars & in Japan I had some amazing matcha chocolates. So I thought I’d have a go with hot chocolate. It’s… interesting…
No-waste people, I’ve just found a jar of almond butter which is VERY out of date. It smells ok but even I have my limits. Can it be repurposed for bird feed or something?
This cis woman, who conceived and gave birth without any intervention has XY chromosomes. I can link the paper if you want but I doubt you have the capacity to understand it given you barely have CSE level knowledge of human biology.
I’m seeking low and no alcoholic options and honestly I’m not seeing the point. The latest disappointment.
Enjoying a lot of ‘tankie’ oriented discussions such as below which don’t seem to take notice that Russia and USA are actually aligned.
Second night in Oxford and I tried Ramen Kulture. Had to wait outside in the rain for 10 minutes (the place is tiny) but my god it was worth it. The broth was DEEP!
Today in Oxford, in order to drown out existential dread I had French sugar for brunch in a cemetery. A delicious mistake and had to trek the Ashmolean to walk it off. Japanese for dinner
So my first meal in Oxford was at Lila’s which is a lovely Ethiopian/Eritrean place. Lovely staff and the food was excellent. Do not be fooled by the beige appearance! This was zingy flavoursome goodness and the pancake things were addictive. Do go if you’re ever in Oxford
