I never want a proper bookmark because I love using random tickets/memorabilia/ephemera as a bookmark. I just started a new book (bought secondhand) and was delighted to find some else‘s ‚bookmark‘

An elegantly printed piece of brown card that once accompanied a cedar heart (which is apparently a thing for deterring moths) and seems to have been used subsequently as a bookmark. It’s my bookmark now (and thankfully no need for moth removal, although good to know about the cedar heart thing)

We have a strong new entry for the highly competitive award of ‚Creepiest airline safety card people‘. Hat tip, Eurowings

It’s a seemingly normal safety card until you zoom in on the horrors contained within

Firstly, if you put the life jacket on at night you will gain strong necromancer powers

This will then activate the army of demon zombie babies (note that these are also present on the Lufthansa safety card, but are presumably kept at bay due to the seeming lack of necromancer activators on this airline)

At this point, it’s best for the remaining passengers to huff on whatever gases are supplied and hope for the best

Bravo, Malta Airlines for featuring people on the safety card who actually seem to have grasped the gravity of their situation

An airline safety card on which people are seen donning life jackets with genuinely terrified looks in their eyes

One poor soul floats alone in the ocean, staring into the void and awaiting whichever option - be it shark, hypothermia or drowning - brings the fastest release of death. At least they have a light and a whistle for comfort 👍

A walk in Eselsburger Tal blew the cobwebs away and proved a nice distraction from *all of this* I also had the pleasure of meeting some locals and being impressed by their speed when necessary

Two gorgeous sheep, named Anton and Mowgli from a nearby smallholding, were wandering around the valley today with their owner. Very friendly gentle giants who like a daily stroll because they love the attention. They were certainly acting as a toddler magnet. I have no idea what breed they are but they are massive.

A sprinting sheep - not sure if Anton or Mowgli. When left behind, these boys can move at surprising speed. If you didn’t know it was a sheep you’d think it was a huge dog or something

The museum in Herbrechtingen. I want to live here because it is located on an island in the middle of the river and is only accessible by footbridge (I would convert this to a drawbridge)
