Anyone else here miss out on a load of schooling when they were a child …or just me? If so, what did you learn instead?
I really don’t know what to say about these antique door handles at UCL medical school. They have been worn to a shine in various places.
Storytelling in a school (Thursday) always makes me happy. Kids are always so ready for a story!
Top tip: the key to a successful storytelling performance is to always think about your audience. #heatwave
Yesterday I went for a long hilly walk in the heat and ended up in a cool shady cemetery. Sat and stared at the leaves and thought about life and death for ages and then I saw this rose and I had to take a photo of it for you lot #bloomscrolling
Greetings blueskyers, I’m Vanessa, a professional storyteller; academic projects, schools, parks, programme festivals, work with companies etc. I co-run a folklore club in Bloomsbury. For more joy I train new storytellers!
Do you want to tell stories in London (or listen!) I've created a list of some of my favourite opportunities here: londondreamtime.com/top-ten-stor...
In the ’90s I was the only woman electrician(“spark”) in the uk film industry. I wrote this in my private diary, most rules are technical but there are some personal ones too. I was bad at asking for help carrying the heavy equipment (I thought it made me look weak & girly!) #work #rulesForWork
I wrote about how oral storytelling transcends language and some techniques for helping your storytelling connect with people —-even if they don’t understand your words. connectionwithwonder.com/storytelling... #storytelling #words #storyteller
Delicious places in London to chill out and enjoy storytelling (with your kids) Immerse the kids in a story, expland your imagination and enjoy! Have I missed anything out? Let me know! londondreamtime.com/tasty-places...
Solstice means “Sun stands still” Happy solstice from London #solstice

Wholesome content alert! Free puppet-making workshops we ran in Bermondsey yesterday… and that’s my partner George showing the kids how to work the puppet! 58 puppets were made.
