My heart is broken today to say goodbye to my lovely old dog Zen. It was a beautiful peaceful morning and we had a lovely morning pootle down by the river bank with the sun shining off the water and the air lovely and still, a perfect send off for the old boy. He was a clown dog & a clumsihound xx
Playing Dune RPG tonight, I'll be playing Oewen Duiker - a failed navigator and courtier of the Spacing Guild. The seal of the Spacing Guild needs little explanation. The three rings are Past, Present, and Future. The line is the Navigator’s sight: the one safe path through impossibility.

I'm very much enjoying the 3 copies of @wyrdscience.bsky.social that arrived this week. Spending lunchtime reading a well written gaming mag rather than interneting is very nice indeed.
Fun game of Traveller last night with a rare session of spaceship combat. Taking about 2 hours Its crunchy but fun and really suits a few of our lads who are also wargamers. It felt like strategic submarine combat. Reading & knowing was absolutely essential, I've read them every day this last week!

Under no circumstances did the Serpent Queen (vision of loveliness that she is) of Port Blacksand deserve such measly stats at Skill 9 and Stamina 7. You deserved so much better my queen!

Cracking session 1/2 Delta Green last night, in which I played a NASA astronaut, and I got to pilot the shuttle on take off! Set in 2010 it was a perfect episode given the current Artemis II mission. We have successfully arrived in orbit and nothing horrible has happened just yet....
