More future presidents weight in on important issues.
We had fun thinking about what people would do as the president.
Important questions were asked…. A three way tie between Oreo, mint chip, and strawberry ice cream triggers ranked choice voting and free samples for all. In the race for dream pet, there is a challenge of voter fraud by a cat supporter so there will be runoff between cats, dogs, and ponies.
Fryeburg area democrats turned out today for the Lovell Old Home Days parade and fair!
Not sure why the post was taken down about this meeting? Screenshot from the email - county caucus 07/19/26 from 1-4 pm at Oxford Hills HS to electronic delegates to the state nominating convention.
We’re not too old to stay and play in the confetti at the end of the OK Go concert (but we are too old to get up and run a 5k the morning after - sorry, friends!). I even got to relive the experience at home when I went to change into PJs and saw how much I had inadvertently carried home…
So much confetti! OK Go did not disappoint. Definitely get seats in the front if you want to enjoy the full snow globe experience! Just a wholesome, fun, talent-filled night. Love these guys and the community they create around their music.
Sometimes you just need a night out to have fun. If you ever felt embarrassed about being a band nerd, there is hope that you, too, could one day be a rock star like Michael Wilbur. Check him out!
Things are not always what they seem. This has been a rollercoaster few days. Stay well, Mainers, and don’t eat each other alive. There are lots of legit emotions and questions we are unlikely to get answers to. I’ll keep fighting for progressive values while keeping lookout over my shoulder.
Join the Fryeburg Area Democrats for our first 5k fun run/walk! Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 8:30 am. Made for procrastinators like myself, you can decide last minute to join us as registration is the morning of the race at 8:00 am. Start and finish at the Fryeburg Visitor Center.
Nature is magic…. Lightening bug out my window!
What I find most surprising about this election reporting is that there is a town in ME named “Westmanland.” To be fair, most people have also not heard of Stow, where I live. I am not surprised that a town named Westmanland went for Troy Jackson for gov, though. #MEpolitics
Join us for the Christopher Perry Technology & Innovation Foundation “Rock the Foundation” fundraiser at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds this Saturday, 06/06/26, 5:30-10 pm with My Stow-Called Band opening the evening 5:30-6:15 followed by Full Circle at 7 getting the band back together for a good cause!
We had over 100 people who were not candidates or campaign staff. And an amazing spread of food and coffee! The event was over 2 hours long with so many candidates so people and especially campaigns had to cycle through to other events but we were quite pleased with the turnout!
Fryeburg select-board candidate and Fryeburg Area Democrats chair Dan Kaschub.
MSAD 72 school board candidates Kim De Vries (Fryeburg) and Pamela Marshall (Denmark).
Oxford County Treasurer Savannah Sessions and Oxford County Sheriff Timothy Holland.
ME Senate candidates Beth Bosworth (18) and Peter Southam (19) and ME House candidates Christopher Easton (81) and Chris Lewey (82).
Gubernatorial candidates Shenna Bellows, Troy Jackson, Dr. Nirav Shah, and Angus King III. @shennabellows.bsky.social @troyjackson207.bsky.social @anguskingiii.bsky.social

New location! New candidates! Given the interest in our Coffee and Candidates event, we are moving to a nearby larger space. Join the Fryeburg Area Democrats on 05/30/26 from 9-11 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 857 Main St, Fryeburg, ME.
Tomorrow is our Fryeburg Area Democrats Coffee and Candidates!
What do My Stow-Called Band and (25% of) Guster have in common? Opening for Graham Platner! Enjoyed seeing Adam Gardner with the Pete Kilpatrick Band at Fighting the Oligarchy in Portland. Who knew Adam can do a mean Bowie cover? BTW, we do an awesome People Have the Power cover, just in case.
One week from today, join the Fryeburg Area Democrats for our Coffee and Candidates event! Saturday, May 30, 2026, 9-11 am at the American Legion on Bradley St. in Fryeburg, ME. Candidates from local to national positions will be there. #MEpolitics
With all the bad news going around, I needed this to cheer me up in my inbox from @guster.bsky.social . I am so excited that Watchhouse will be joining them at On the Ocean! It will be my 4th time seeing them, 2nd time seeing Iron and Wine, and gazillionth time seeing Guster. Can’t wait!
This article does a great job of breaking down the contrasts between the campaigns of Mills and Platner, with his approach as a bigger movement that is energizing people. There are photos and quotes from our Fryeburg forum and my son is quoted so I’m going to share it, with the expected pushback.
Spring running in the White Mountains. Snow, mud, ice, slush, but happy to get my elevation in! Trying to channel my angst about the world in positive ways…
Let’s keep organizing, Oxford County Democrats! #MEpolitics
