Now that I bought & spent about 11 hours over two days setting up an e-drum kit that I can play in my bedroom :), I'm kind of nervous about trying to play again--it's been so long (& I wasn't a virtuoso or anything!). But today I found this, from the jam group I was in a few years ago. SO much fun.
The aforementioned e-drums. (I still have to put the cymbals on--I'm amazed I got THIS far on my own! I'm not exactly what you'd call handy.) I have an acoustic set in the basement, but sometimes I just don't feel like being in the basement... It's been a long time since I've played at all! #drums
I'm baaaackkk...again. I've been in real estate/medical stuff hell for a few weeks, and for some reason I haven't been able to get onto Bluesky on my new phone. VERY grumpy lately! This didn't help. Am I the only person to whom this came as a disturbing surprise? Probably...
One of the great loves of my life, Harry Dean Stanton, in his last film--"Lucky", directed by (I think) David Lynch's son (David Lynch is also in the film). Still mesmerizing when he's positively ancient. #films

@papillondore20.bsky.social just made me think about this. I love Springsteen, but I'd never heard this song. 🤷♀️ My friend Gerry (Bruce's doppelganger) asked my son if he could learn the piano part in 1 day so they could play it for us that night at my place. I was stunned at how beautiful it was.
For yrs., since I started giving her CBD treats, Naima hasn't had more than 2-3 mild seizures per year. But last night she had one, and early this morning another. We're both beat.The only upside is that she always wants to get outside ASAP after they subside, so last night we go to see this. #dogs
I'm not joking when I say it's really hard for me to pull up "weeds" (can't kill bugs, either). When I do, I silently apologize to them. Who decides what is or isn't a weed, anyway? But check out the beautiful tree in the next yard. #gardening #urbangardens #TaoofGardening

My girl Naima had the 2nd "panic attack" she's ever had today (she's prone to relatively mild siezures, although since I've been giving her CBD treats they're milder & a lot less frequent). It was awful--she seemed terrified, but there was nothing out of the ordinary. She's fine now, but...😰. #Dogs

Not that I've ever taken a lesson in my life, but this is the follow-up to the acoustic one I bought a while back. It's GarageBand's fault--I'll be trying to record something & I think, "Oh, it needs (?)!" So then I get whatever "this" is and learn to play it just well enough to use in the song. 🙄🤪
