My yellow #neocaridina #shrimp have finally started popping out some shrimplets. 🦐🦐 They also like the snowflake food. ☺️
This just came up in my 'memories'. Miah at 1yr old. She was ludicrously fit back then. She's pretty much the same weight now, but definitely not as muscular, and muscle is heavier than fat.
Pumpkin (actually butternut squash this time) & Peamutt butter (dog safe brand) biscuits done. Bone Broth on for the next 23hrs. Dehydrating meat will have to wait until tomorrow. Don't say I never do anything for our dogs! Dog tax attached. #whippets #DogsOfBluesky
Got a couple of half decent photos of the Grey Dagger moth caterpillars on my apple tree. I'm not concerned, they can have a few leaves, it won't hurt. They're beautiful! I'll have to dig my bridge camera out and get a better shot.
Hah, this is hilarious. I'm an absolute miserabilist so no idea how the AI came up with this opinion.. From skystats.mariozechner.at
My gorgeous girl asleep under my desk. Weird how whippets seem to get fluffier in their senior years.
Laughing at the BBC's poll. They might as well have just called it "Who do you want to win the World Cup?"
Spotted on the bank of the Esk this morning. I have no idea 🤣 although it could be related to the Common Riding at the end of the month.. Nice use of twigs!
SO pleased with the rowan tree. I think it was less than 6ft when I got it in 2023 and we had to re-seat it in 2024 to bring the root flair up to the surface. Since then it's thrived and at a guess I'd say is around 15ft now. Also sweet peas and the awesome teasel plant, easily 6ft+.
I accidentally made a fake tree when the branch I moved out of the way on the barrel pond got laid against the timber shed and under the creeping jenny. #gardens #pond #bloomscrolling
Hahaha... I love this. 4 out of 5 stories with a photo of Fartrage on are split between him and @countbinface.bsky.social
Pleased with how my late dad's ladders are working out. 🥰 The apple tree in the whisky barrel to the left was grown from seeds I harvested from a tree he planted in his garden a few decades ago. No root stock so the apples (if I get any) will be a bit meh. But that's not the point.
🧵 1. Got sent this brilliant little book today. Very niche, but great if you have sighthounds. Mum had a lot of problems with 'pet vets' in the past. But greyhound vets are few and far between now. Can recommend! Might be in the Whippet Rescue shop in time, hopefully.
🧵 1. Growing potatoes for the first time in my life. I've done them in a bag and I know I put too many in, so haven't been expecting much. The rain/heat combos have also battered the plants, so I decided to dig down a bit and have a look. My very first potato! No rot, still small but POTATO! 🥔 🥳
just over 12 years as a #whippet parent and I will never understand how this is remotely comfortable...
Made liver cake for the girls. Whenever I unroll kitchen foil, Nova teleports into the kitchen. At least that's what it feels like... Recipe: 500g liver, 2 eggs, 200g milled oats and a splash of milk. They bloody love it.
Yes, yes. Because the business community and fossil fuel industry what really matters. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
Huh. Portrait mode took her whiskers away. No fair. This is what she looks like without the soft focus bobbins.
My Silver Soulmate ♥️ Still beautiful after all these years. #whippet #DogsOfBluesky #SkyHounds
Happy anniversary to my wonderful husband. 34 years together and 18 years married. My soul mate. And look what he got me! 😮 He gets me. ♥️
Novice veg grower here. Do I cut the lower leaves off these sprout plants? Also, damn you Scottish weather. My geranium 😭
There's more to the UK than fecking London. How about you just have trending hashtags rather than this curated bollocks.
That is true. I was pretty distressed to see it, so small and so lovely. They're definitely up the top of my fave small birds list. This is one I managed to get a photo of before we moved to Scotland.
Testing and sorting my Magic Markers. Do they even sell these anymore?
These lupin blooms were blue and purple last year. For some reason it's grown back with yellow 'throats'. I love them!
Took a photo of this glorious tree down the park. I'm pretty sure it's a hawthorn. Miah decided to erm ... pose for me.
