This was just posted over on Sam Neill's Official Instagram Account! I'm shocked and saddened by this!

It is with immense sadness that the whānau of Sam Neill share the news of his passing on Monday 13th July, in Sydney Australia. Sam was surrounded by family and passed with the dignity that has characterised his whole life.
The loss was sudden and unexpected but blessed by the fact that Sam remained cancer free. They would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their incredible care.
More details will be shared later, but for now, on behalf of the family, we ask that you respect their privacy as they navigate this immeasurable loss.

Dear Citizens of The United States of America.

I am writing to offer you congratulations on the 250th anniversary of the
founding of your small nation.

I have great hopes that your next 250 years will be used to solidify your place on the World’s Stage by ridding yourself of all remaining bigotry and hatred towards anyone who is not white and heterosexual and that you learn to truly embrace the diversity of all the peoples of the United States.

I know you will find you have more in common with those who are not like you than you believe.

You all have the same needs in life. The need for sustenance, the need for
friendship and love, the need for compassion, the need to feel safe and secure in your own country, the need for respect and understanding that no-one is better or more valued than another and with that all life is precious.

Enjoy your celebrations, stay safe and open your hearts to those who are
different.

I've just received a nice little gift in the post from the lovely people over at the NCIS studios! (Yes, I know they are possibly autopen but that doesn't matter. If a President can use autopen to sign legally binding documents because its a direct copy then that is fine by me!)

The first ever autograph I wrote off for when I was 9 was of Mel Brooks, the brilliant writer, director and actor of so many of my favourite comedies. Today, the legend that turns 100 and he is still going strong. Happy 100th Birthday Mel. Wishing you many, many more!!

Some of my collectible coins. I have some JFK coins plus Queen Elizabeth II coins I just need to remember where I put them. If you ever buy these coins online, make sure you check exactly what you are buying. For one of these coins I thought I was buying 1 coin. In fact, I was buying 1 pack of 4! 🤣
