An Officer with the Prosperity Police Department, along with deputies from the Newberry County Sheriff's Office, responded to a report of a baby alligator found in a ditch along U.S. Highway 76 and Langford Street.
The alligator was safely recovered and turned over to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources
(SCDNR) for proper care and handling.
If you believe this baby alligator belongs to you, please contact the Prosperity Police Department at 803-364-2121.
As always, if you encounter wildlife, please do not approach or attempt to handle it. Contact local law enforcement or the appropriate wildlife authorities for assistance.

may have noticed, we have not posted about peanuts YET this year at our Lever Farms Prosperity Market.
PLEASE BE KIND to our coworkers when they have to tell you we are sold out for the day. We promise we want to have enough peanuts for everyone each day
— we simply can't get enough in right now to meet the demand.
This year has been different than any we've seen before. Florida experienced a very cold and dry winter, and many farmers lost their first peanut crop.

We were blessed to start getting a FEW peanuts in this week, and we are hopeful more will be coming in the weeks ahead.

It's not just that capitalism needs consumers, slavery also takes jobs away from non-slave working poor. What I'm saying, basically, is that they want slaves who can spend money & they want to pay less for it (hence support for UBI amongst capitalists). Slavery in US was a transitional phase.
