Alex Claremont-Diaz is definitely the best housemate Henry could ever ask for. He'd already known Alex tangentially for a few years before they worked out their apartment share arrangement. After all, they are what could be termed 'friends-in-law' - Henry's best friend Pez and Alex's best friend Nora have been a couple since their undergrad years.

So now that they're all in Georgetown U - with Alex in Law School and Henry pursuing his Masters in Literature, it had seemed to make perfect sense to share the apartment. And things really were going swimmingly - Henry and Alex had become close friends themselves. There was the not-inconsiderable part that Henry had fallen head over heels for his spellbindingly charismatic and extremely affable friend - but it was no biggie. Henry was sure hopeful that he could manage his burgeoning infatuation without serious consequences.

Until, that is, the bane of his life emerged.

The wall. That bloody thin wall between his and Alex's bedrooms, which seemed rather permeable to sound waves. Especially when Alex started getting more than a little loud with his moans and sighs; apparently unable to contain himself during his 'self-care' sessions.
