So I finished this last night: I really enjoyed it and raced through it very quickly - wasn’t really interested in tales of debauchery and those things were kept to a minimum. Made me realise the depth of thought that went into his work, despite the veneer of humour and absurdity to it all.

Finished Nile Rodgers’ autobiography last night. As rides go, it was pretty wild. Glad I read it.

I just finished this beauty of a book. It was really good. Kept wondering till near the end, very evocative of a dark but beautiful place and it will stay with me a long time.

I have finally finished this book. The final in a quartet of crime novels that is a subtle tour of American social history and politics as well as being a blockbuster crime novel. I’d very happily see these books be adapted for screen. Really enjoyed all four.

I am 100 pages into this doozy of a book. It’s excellent so far. It came from a list I saw here in the aftermath of ‘Sinners’ entering the world.

I forgot to post my new book! And now I’ve finished it too. This one was quite unsettling and will stay with me a while. It felt like a snowball rolling down a hill - it accelerated and became ‘heavier’ as it reached its conclusion.
