If I was a billionaire: a life size Root "board" at the Car Barn, with these chaps as the cats. I would commission the creation of the birds, mice, etc. "Sebastian's Root Arena" Win = extra credit. Lose . . .
Without saying your age, post your favourite film that released the year you turned 18.
Our daughter and son getting ready to sit down at Circle DC for a session of Baltic Empires: The Northern Wars of 1558-1721 by @gmtgames.bsky.social. Our son's most anticipated release in years, soon to be shipped 🤞 Game designed by Brian Asklev.
I know someone who FINALLY got into your course, @sebastianbae.bsky.social. Tried for 4 semesters and it was always full. Finally, the last semester of the program . . . this person had first pick. Gods, you are soooooo popular! 😍 😂
Every time I get the pantry stocked to make one of your recommended chili crisp recipes, you throw out a new one. I can't catch up . . . "best in my wee worthless life" indeed. 😂
First tulip "spring" 2026. Looking at past photos the earliest I have for tulips is mid-April. Northern front-range Colorado.
Well, of course France was going to win! Who would ever doubt it? 😂 Freaking amazing end to Six Nations 2026
OK, I failed the intel test. It was in the index and I guess I skipped it due to "fish". Thanks so much!
My wife is over the moon thrilled with her tea set. Rakkasan -- highly recommended. Thanks @brandonfriedman.bsky.social
Looking forward to when quality sport starts in just over a month. Six Nations Rugby . . . so good
Awesome news! I was thinking about Mark yesterday while wrapping two "items*" for our "crazy about board gaming" kids. *just arrived from GMT this past week. 😎
Our eldest flew home a bit early from grad school with a paper to write. Fortunately our personal library and online sources sufficed. Our undergrad senior also had a paper to finish but we had no shelved sources -- data on Uyghurs of Xinjiang province. Both done now. Let the board gaming begin! 💙
Recognition from our city for successfully participating in their program for replacing turf with water-wise native plants. This was a high-sun turf area demanding heavy watering in July/August. It now receives light watering at 4:30 AM twice a week, unless we receive rain. So many native bees!
And so it begins . . . The end Brandon Sanderson is a top five author in our house, so today is important, although our two kids are swamped with finals and papers 😬. #cosmere
Winter fun during Covid. Big winds with light snow. Cold. Nobody else was out. Priceless. Niner RDO RKT
So far as a family we have only played ARCs. The "kids" have enjoyed late night play of 17th century siege warfare -- quick play with loads of casualties. Board games balanced with getting the eldest into The Old Man series season one, which has blown his terrorism/security studies mind.
When the stars align this is pure heaven for our kids. Logistically it is a challenge to have old friends in town at the same time. It worked out last Christmas. 5 players, Twilight Imperium 4 A full day conflict. So many pizzas died.
Fort Moore, Infantry Museum. A great re-naming -- Hal Moore, American hero.
My life span . . . so far. How it started; how it's going. As my Brit friends say, Shite!
July sunrise in Northern Colorado. A fav trail. Rockies in the distance. Wildlife: Pronghorn galore, Colorado State University Bison herd, Elk, Deer, and sooooo many Rattlesnakes. Bike: Niner RDO RKT.
I learned this about 5 yrs ago. Was thinking about hosting honey bees; with new knowledge, replaced turf with Colorado native water-wise plants. AMAZING to see the variety of bees we now have. My native state and I had no idea there are so many different native species. So cool to look and listen.
