Thanks to the activities of Cadent Gas, I came across these gate pillars to the very old Swarkestone Hall Pavilion just off the A50 near Derby. Taken at the junction of Swarkestone Road and Church Lane, the 17th-century pavilion is Grade I listed. The Rolling Stones did a photoshoot here in 1968.
Mizen to Malin is the classic journey across Ireland from Mizen Head in County Cork (the south-west tip) to Malin Head in County Donegal (the northernmost point). Most people travel it over a few days. It took me two years. My photo at Mizen was 24th April 2024 and at Malin today.
They grow up so fast nowadays. He's not three yet but I thought this construction looked like a flotilla of ships. When I asked hin what we should call them, I'm sure he said "The Straits.of Hormuz".

The Nottingham to Beeston Canal today. I walked from home to Highfields Park, via the canal. It was 4.3 miles. By road 6 miles and no passing swans or pieces of wood to watch.

The Trent Basin project is transforming the former dock that serviced the industrial area on the River Trent in Nottingham. It is just a stones throw from the sporting hub of Nottingham that includes both football clubs, the cricket, the racecourse, the National Water Sports Centre and the rugby.
