I'm aware that this is a picayune complaint in the broader context of poisonous air. But goddamn it, tonight's temps in the low 60s would've been a good night to turn off my AC and use the quieter window fans to get some fresh air in the house. But nope, this is our aqi for the next 36 hours:

Happy Botox day to me! 🎉 I do not recommend going through both grief and a heat dome while your migraine pain relief is wearing off. But hopefully, I'll start to feel better in a few days.
I opened a window for the first time all week! 🥳 It's still humid AF but it dropped nearly 30 degrees in 2 hours
I'm incredibly glad Past Me got a new window AC unit this spring. But holy crap, this is the difference between my bedroom with AC on high, the door closed, & blackout shades drawn vs a mere 8' down the upstairs hallway in a home with no central air. Outside still feels like 104.
Baby squirrel says if he can climb a brick wall & successfully jump to the suet feeder, you can triumph on the big scary day too!
I've kept in the AC & dark today. But I just took 4 steps outside my garage to bring in a package & now my migraine is in agony. And it's day 1 of 4? 5? Idk. This is Satan's asshole. (For my metric friends, it feels 40° C in NE Ohio today.)
I'm overwhelmed at the outpouring of support & love. Kieran is the first pet I've had who's had their own big online family. Knowing how much you loved my weird, loving Dr K, & our bond together, means more than I can find the words for yet. Thank you. Just...thank you. 🥲 #UglyDogs

Snapping turtle has returned? Resurfaced? Idk where they live most of the year. I only know they tend to spend May-July here.
I lured him to bed with Ancient Aliens & a camping lantern. It still took him a solid 15 minutes to realize those shiny shiny lights were, in fact, on his dog bed. But every few minutes, he'd look up at me all happy like I'd just walked into the room instead of having been here the whole time. lol
I'm fine, mother. Jail break now! (Just ignore that he bonked his head on the gate 5 seconds later) 😵💫
I talked to the scheduler at Internal med. There's still no cancellations, but he's bumped up the wait list. They know I can take a last minute appt. So 🕯️🤞🕯️ because I now have no idea when it'll happen, what they'll do in the first appt, what they'll plan to do, etc. I'm stressed af #UglyDogs
The sky was beautiful last night. And I may or may not have just sat in my backyard & had a therapeutic cry.
Kieran & I can both feel the storms coming in, so it's a rough pain day. But @conductress.bsky.social is giving us some much needed peace with the music of Mägi Ensemble. #UglyDogs
She's strong. She's been up there for at least 20 minutes. Let's see if she's smart enough to jump to the brick wall 2' away instead of jumping the 6' straight down.
There's squirrel drama at Derpwolf Manor this evening. Mr Eyeliner is not as strong as his sister, so she was able to jump at the suet but he can't yet. He's very mad. 🤣
