And those who are "lost and directionless" will return to the Twelve Hours, seeking their path within their own past.

The Family discovered this trait and cleverly utilized it, allowing guests to be sent to different Hours upon their first dream entry. In other words, this Nameless is the true founder of the Planet of Festivities.

As for me... Ha, maybe I ran into a "good doctor." From the look of this place, he's the one who let me blunder my way in.

This earned him a delighted laugh and a stroke through his hair, both soothing and patronizing.

Ahhh I'm so happy to hear that, I've been chipping away at that one between other things! Human statue Ratio really has me (and Aventurine) in a chokehold. And yesss, truly one of my favorite things about them. The smarter they are, the dumber they fall!! Tysm for the encouragement, it means a lot!

Aaaanyway, here's a peek that I'm moderately certain I haven't shared on here yet... Tags: #ratiorine, transmasc Aventurine, Dreampool shenanigans, crotchless pants, it only gets worse from here

Ratio levels him with an unimpressed stare, folding his arms before his chest. As if emphasizing his voluptuous assets is going to deter Aventurine from his mission in any way.

"That argument is absolutely filled with holes," he retorts, not bothering to hide the unimpressed scowl that accompanies his words. "It is already well-established that physical stimulus affects every dreamer differently. Unlike you to be so sloppy with your proposals, gambler."

Bingo. That, he can work with. Aventurine lets his smile drift in the direction of salacious, stopping just shy of sleazy.

"Funny you should say that, because I've got a rather sloppy hole that I'd like to propose you fill for me."

The resulting look of disgust on Ratio's face is absolutely worth the difficulty increase Aventurine just added to this particular encounter with his favorite fussy professor.

"Must you be so lewd—"

"I'll make this easier for you, Doc." Aventurine waves off his protests, sauntering over to the Dreampool and shucking his coat as he goes, tossing it carelessly towards the sofa. Ratio is still blissfully unaware of the little surprise that awaits him. Time for the reveal. "Pay close attention, now. The devil is in the details, as they say."

And with that, he slides his feet further apart to widen his stance before bending forward to rest his gloved hands on the smooth edge of the Dreampool shell, exposing said surprise to Ratio's view.

There is an extremely pointed silence. And then, "Gambler."

The best advice I can give re: reading my fic is ~expect nothing~ lmao It's def been on my mind, but the last 6mo have fully upended my life and the gauntlet is far from over. Longfics are always the hardest for me to work on when shit's going down. Pray to the yaoi gods for me if you're a real one

I appreciate that! The chaos will continue (starting a new job) but we carry on. Short answer: nope! It depends on finding the right headspace to work on a project. The only time I kinda know is when something is very close to finished, and even then it's anyone's guess if it works out as expected
