Went to an open house today and saw this panel with an obvious handle in the floorboards of the primary closet. Opened the panel to find this chest! The skeleton key pictured worked and in the chest I found the note pictured. To the best I can decipher it reads:
“This iron chest is the property of vicar and churchwarden of the parish of Sibdon.
H. F. Baxter March 5 1894”

The realtor didn’t know anything about the chest and he didn’t think the broker did either. I looked up the parish and found it is a small rural parish in Shropshire England. Sorry for the glare on the photo. I couldn’t get a great angle on it with it sitting at the bottom of the chest.

This stained glass window is located in The Chapel(?) within the Alton Towers ruins, now in the entrance to the Hex ride. The chapel was remodeled by the renowned Gothic Revival architect A.W.N. Pugin, recently reopened to the public after being closed for many years. #StainedGlassSunday
