BTS The City ARIRANG NYC HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED! Essentially, in some cities that BTS is touring, a variety of cultural experiences are set up. Lots of events and community gatherings. I'm sure there will be a ton of fandom events happening around the same time, too. The town will be red with ARIRANG.

Spotted at Pearl River Mart in Chelsea Market this morning. Derpy has a dump truck in back! (So does the planter. So does the plant in the planter. It's butts all around!)

M's mum bought me the #BTS Oreos. I haven't acquired them myself, mostly for scarcity reasons (I heard they were tricky to acquire) and I wasn't sure I would like them. Yep. I didn't really care for them. Way too sweet for my tastes.

Lastly, I played Limes with my sister. I had to look up the rules because the copy we played with had rules only in German. 😅 I feel I played poorly, but this was my ending tableau. Our scores were close: 39 to 42. It really needs a scoring cheat sheet for new players. Fast & easy thinky fun!

I think I've only played Nova Luna once or twice before, but the mechanics are quick to learn and, at three player, it made for a nice balance between the three of us getting what we want and pivoting goals based on options presented by others' actions. I didn't manage to win this, but it was close!

The Nova Luna board. The outside of the ring-shaped board are tiles placed into designated spaces for them. The tiles have numbers and goals on them, represented by coloured pips. Also on the tracker, in a space designated for a tile, is the moon tracker, which appears to be a crescent moon. The inside of the board is the player tracker, featuring the cycle of the moon's phases and shows how turn order for the three players in this game.

My end tableau, where I placed my tiles acquired throughout the game with met goals covered by my blue tokens. Unmet goals remain uncovered.

I learned to play Mycelia, which is a VERY pretty game with a combination of interesting mechanics: card drafting that leads to bonuses, resource generation through sporing with added dice randomness, temporary stuff makers, token and player options blocking. I wouldn't mind playing this deeper.

Player start state with five mushroom possibilities and spore cubes. The board, consisting of triangular blocks, is in a star shape on the table.

I convinced the group to try Mini Rails again. It has been *years* since most have played it, so we had to teach it again but everyone seemed to really dig into it. It is such an elegant and clever game. HOWEVER, my copy was missing pieces, so I need to acquire a new token set for my copy. Eeps!

Oh! I neglected to mention: I PLAYED GAMES YESTERDAY! My sister held a board game day at her house and we played stuff! #dnup is new to me, but has elements of The Great Dalmuti. Cards have two values for each card, depending on orientation. Play requires risk analysis and a bit of push-your-luck.

My card hand in one round of dnup are brightly coloured cards with one number when held one way and a different number when held the other. On the table are two tokens, representing my points: a green "u" and a green "p".

I also enjoyed the bead and fiber art pieces from the Haas Brothers. The pieces that look like roadkill animals were especially hilarious. #HaasBrothersMAD

On Saturday, I went to the Museum of Art and Design (I've never been) with M. I enjoyed the Haas Brothers Uncanny Valley exhibit, especially the focus on fabrication/craft. The technique for their Accretions series, using many layers of slip to create these fungal growths? So neat! #HaasBrothersMAD

I saw #KENREX yesterday and it was FANTASTIC. I went with my sister and M and it is so thought-provoking and tragic, wonderfully written and *BEAUTIFULLY* performed. Jack Holden is on my radar and I am looking forward to seeing more of his work.

And for project tax, two of the books in the set are ones I personally am interested in acquiring as I have completed Emma Congdon patterns. The patterns are beautifully done and are super fun. Here are two of her patterns that I have completed.

OMG Tablo is *pissed*. #EpikHigh AXS is annoying compared to Ticketmaster in regards to their interface. I thought VIP tickets were sold out until I realized one has to select *ticket type* first: the Artist Presale (which was GA and Premium GA) or VIP (which was VIP1&2) further down the page.

Two things: 1. I would love this as a tattoo. (I have something similar currently: the life cycle of Cercis that looks like a branch, but contains both flower and fruit which would never happen in reality.) 2. I wonder how they took this photo. Perhaps frozen samples of the earliest stages? 🤔
