Less than a week since Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was murdered by ICE in Texas, ICE killed 26yr-old Joan Sebastian Guerrero in Maine. He was with his wife and 3yr-old child. This is the 11th known fatal shooting by ICE since 2025. Justice for all stolen and taken lives. Abolish ICE now!
These continuous hateful and violent attacks from the white house on our Muslim neighbors are heinous and hurt all of us. I will work alongside my Muslim neighbors and community leaders to ensure our neighbors are protected from the violence that these kinds of statements can cause.

It was an honor to join the Ward 8 community group, Don’t Shoot Guns Shoot Hoops, for their Father’s Day march from George Floyd Square to Sabathani. It was a beautiful event celebrating fathers and families, and particularly Black fathers and their families.
