Hijacking this one to talk about Majora's Mask. Navi was an early example of an ever-present guide character, so they didn't really characterize her beyond Being A Game Mechanic. Tatl occupies this role far better by chiming in more appropriately and calling you stupid when she does. Queen shit.
hello katie tightpussy. i took an opportunity to look back through this little music listening project here, and you and I are oddly synced up on every album we have in common???
this is not to belittle your genuine pain, but how the timeline presented this thread to me was very funny.
i'm pretty sure when kizaru first popped up in one piece, at least three million japanese readers said "... is that my fucking uncle?"
Just to make clear from the jump. Even if Gen AI were in any way useful or anything remotely resembling the hyperbolic claims of its biggest proponents (it isn't at all), any game dev is within their right to fight it on the basis of protecting their livelihood.
also, I can't blame bernie for thinking about running off reservation for the likes of chris mckenzie. she would have me reconsidering my allegiances as well. extremely fitting that she was the one who had to put Bernie down in the end... for both Bernie and Al.
lol i keep thinking about this review a lot. i love banjo kazooie, and i don't think i feel quite THIS negatively about DK64. but they succinctly captured the fundamental issue.
Take, for example, lyrics from these two tracks. The former was released in 2025, the latter in 2005, 20 years apart. Both reference the Jeweler Jacob Arabo, founder of Jacob & Co. He is popular with celebrities, but especially rappers. You kind of just need to know who he is... (Cont)
beat the first wizardry title. i liked it. i respect it. this game is an rpg keystone, particularly influential on a number of JRPG's that are franchise juggernauts. dragon quest, final fantasy, most of atlus's titles. i spent most of my time grinding to kill werdna.
talking about metal gear solid today got me pondering, and I think one of the funniest characters is sigint AKA Donald Anderson. because in "lore," he is wildly significant. founding member of the patriots. built their AI. his on-screen presence amounted to being a dogshit weapons expert lol.
if they ever make a movie about trump's second administration, ray wise would make an excellent casting for RFK Jr.
this wireframe presentation was entirely new in the late 70's, it had to be moved UCSD Pascal after it wouldn't run properly in BASIC, they had to wait for a better run-time system to come out, etc. etc. all this while learning to be game designers? for a new concept in computer games?
i'm not anti-fun police. i'm no lover of funko shit myself, but beyond the environmental concerns of more plastic, i'm not really begrudging folks their little toys on its own. call me consumerist, I'll get over it. but i remember seeing this one and thinking, "Hmm, maybe not" lmao.
not my food crimes, but i have a guy in my life who mixes the green can of farmers' meatballs and gravy with store bought ragu when he makes sphagetti. he disgusts me and I hope he never changes
i know some ladies into specific kinds of yuri that might disagree with this one boss.
