Brobubu
@storgemo
"brobu" for short. I program computers irl but tend to escape that here. I like videogames and online hangouts I follow an ever more absurd number of artists on here. they/them/any 🔞
I had to go check. Nate Silver and his opus (now dead to the general internet) were a major part of the movement to make journalism cover politics like it's sports.
the #marvelRivals edits of #Cyclops set to the song The Red by Chevelle are pretty good ngl (the screaming in this edit is kinda, interesting)
this part always kinda struck me as delulu since Bun uses JavaScriptCore and the apples-to-apples comparison would have been OpenJS
The async Javascript is freaking out when you try to load the discussion on the Bun Rust rework.
Sometimes in a game like #LeagueOfLegends you just, tank an ungodly amount of damage. #LoL
Microsoft did the thing where they open Edge after a windows 11 update and this is a Desktop computer without a battery but hey like yeah tell me how battery is front and center.
AOL apparently has fully AI generated article categories and image captions, having otherwise inexplicably put an article on a disturbing video of the pedestrian being hit by an airplane under "Entertainment," and captioning a still from the airplane window as "a close-up view of a cup"
there's supposed magic that prevents the server you're connected to from logging PRIVMSG plaintext strings, but JOINS are fine. Mind you if your employer has an IRCd they're definitely logging fucking everything, same thing with Slack administrators being able to dump a full interaction history
I drilled down on some bad ai answers and there's a guy in a thread telling people that it is actually not possible for irc servers to log communications. Like, nonstop arguing with people in the replies.
I think it's kinda interesting that when you drill down into the stuff underpinning everything having "TUIs" these days that at some point the libraries are like 'go library implementing ncurses without the need for <part of ncurses api>' (alt text has english translations of image)
the ai saga sort of contrasts with Blueskys own attempts at the branding it presents to potential users, I kinda have to say
pov you find out you're on a >300_000 person userlist that a bluesky developer preëmptively mass blocked
sfgate cross|word today is really unorthodox and, really frustratingly, has no hints just an option to reveal the answer for any of them.
All the ads telling people to use copilot in excel for their business are kinda like, flying in the face of the actual text of the Copilot ToS aren't they? They kinda make it explicitly clear that the product is for entertainment purposes only
Maybe CR Just like space-equivalent box trucks. Like you can point to the chin turret setup on the Humpback and see that the same thing is used on the Hull-A in Star Citizen currently:
though the starfarer appears to be _way_ bigger. Like the nose section on the second image of it has two decks in it.
"James McCloud is an actual character in the F-Zero universe and races a course-modified version of an arwing"
update, searched through for people here talking about _why in case he had come up at some point, found an exchange about _why by bsky's why
