Progressive Voters Guide is a Super PAC. It is paid political advocacy funded by Fuse Votes, an Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee operated by Fuse Washington. Their Board (donors) decide the important (“controversial”) endorsements. www.progressivevotersguide.com/washington/n...

Who makes the recommendation decisions?

The Fuse Communications team in consultation with the Campaign Director and the Executive Director make most of the recommendation decisions. The Fuse Board of Directors is consulted on approximately five percent of races that we anticipate will be most controversial.

MHA is like taxing farmers during a famine.

Senator Murray is right. Trump’s SCOTUS nominees and their supporters own the overturning of Roe. Everyone knew what confirming Kavanaugh would mean for America, including Will Dreher, who campaigned to put him on the Supreme Court.

Seattle’s stadium tied for 1st of the 16 World Cup venues. Strangely no Bellevue stadiums were ranked. 🤔 www.nytimes.com/athletic/737...

The first is its location, right in the centre of downtown Seattle. There is so much that is great about this, but primarily it means the city feels alive wherever you are on a matchday. Nobody stresses about how they are going to get out to the stadium. Local organisers have done an excellent job at providing a carnival around the venue, with the Pioneer Square area bouncing ahead of Egypt's game with Belgium. It was great to see independent bars, pubs and restaurants embracing and benefiting from Seattle being a host city.

Then there is the stadium's design. This is not an identikit bowl that could be anywhere. Each stand is shaped differently, but it is known especially for the Hawk's Nest, which offers views of downtown and beyond. I cannot think of a stadium in the world that feels so connected to the city it belongs to.

80% of the roles Meta cut in our region were outside Seattle (Bellevue, Redmond, and remote roles).

While Meta is headquartered in Menlo Park, Calif., the company maintains a presence in Western Washington. The layoffs affect 259 employees across two Seattle offices, 699 workers at a Bellevue office and 206 at a Redmond office, plus 231 remote workers statewide.

Dreher did send a follow up letter that he was “deeply troubled” by the allegations. But. praising a nominee who was clearly going to vote to repeal Roe v Wade, legalized “Kavanaugh stops” of people committing Citizen While Brown, and gut the Voting Rights Act is unacceptable.

We are former clerks to Judge Kavanaugh. In early July, we joined letters sent to this committee describing our positive experiences with the Judge as a boss and mentor on the D.C. Circuit. Over the weekend, the committee publicized quotations from those letters, creating the impression that they were responsive to the serious allegations raised in the last several weeks. We write to clarify that, like many Americans, we have been deeply troubled by those allegations and the events surrounding them and were encouraged by the initiation of a formal FBI investigation, which we believe is warranted. We hope, for the good of everyone involved, that this investigation will be independent and thorough.

More than 80% of Capitol Hill residents voted for the Crisis Care levy, but their elected leaders chose to listen mostly to wealthy white property and business owners who objected to building a Center in their backyard.

King County's crisis care levy passed by a wide margin with Capitol Hill voters, but business owners have been less receptive. (James Wu)
