My favorite Pompeii dig site is Thermopolium of Asellina!!! Like you didn’t have a kitchen in ancient roman cities because that was a fire hazard. Oh someone left this review of it and it gave me a chuckle.

“Ate here in 79 AD while briefly stopping in town. I found some of the food to be a bit overcooked and ashen. My wife asked for her cappuccino to be extra hot, but it was as hot as Lava. I give it 5 stars for the blackened catfish though, best I've had in 40 leagues.”

Idk if @fdsignifier.bsky.social is on bluesky much but like..I feel like people should watch his Lupe video. I liked it a lot as a Lupe fan and it really touches on his history. But importantly, it has one of the best left shit posting I have ever. Like his team did a good job on this bit.
