The language of our post left the impression that text messages by Platner's accuser Jenny Racicot are relevant to whether she was raped or in any way justify the alleged assault she described. The Trump administration approved three new "forever chemical"-based pesticides last week for use on food crops, including corn and soybeans - the most widely grown crops in the country - as well as wheat, kiwi, oats, peas, broccoli and coffee. -

These new chemicals - diflufenican, epyrifenacil, trifludimoxazin -have all been quietly approved without a standard press release.

Trump approved other PFAS-based pesticides cyclobutrifluram and isocycloseram earlier this year, and the first food use of chlormequat -which is already found in 90% of Americans' blood.

An EPA scientist wrote in the approval documents that at least one of these new PFAS-based pesticides is "suggestive evidence of carcinogenic potential."

These approvals come just days after the Supreme Court sided with chemical maker Bayer and the Trump administration in limiting Americans' ability to sue pesticide companies for harms linked to pesticides.

Now, Americans will have a harder time holding companies accountable for the cancer-causing effects of their pesticides.

This presentation will discuss the human and economic reasons why capitalism not only works but rocks, providing superior benefits to humanity in comparison to all other eco-nomic systems. The lengthy and rather miserable history of almost all human existence will be briefly explored. This long period of pretty crappy stasis was followed by an ex-plosion of wealth and freedom in just the past few hundred years. This explosive launch, often termed "The Great Enrichment", is the most dynamic thing that has happened in human history. It has elevated and liberated, in a relatively very short time, a good deal of humankind out of the mud and from crippling disease, grinding subsistence, short life spans, and general misery, and it continues to do so for millions of people every year.

This pro human explosion was a result of the growth of the radical concept of personal liberty and its companion free market capitalism.

The reason why capitalism generally makes humans better people and why capitalism is more fun will be explored. The inherent inferior structural dynamics of the dominant competing economic models, alternatively termed collectivism, authoritarianism, Marx-ism, fascism, and communism according to its variants of large state control, will be dis-cussed as well.

Statement from Lise Klaveness: The Norwegian Football Association (NFF) supports UEFA's statement expressing serious concern over FIFA's handling of the case involving U.S. player Folarin Balogun. The player received a straight red card in the Round of 32 match against Bosnia and Herzegovina at the FIFA World Cup.

Under Article 10.5 of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Regulations, this automatically triggers a one-match suspension. Such a suspension is not subject to appeal.

When FIFA nevertheless clears the player to participate in the next match without providing any explanation, there is reason for concern regarding the integrity of the competition, political interference in sporting matters, and the credibility of football.

NFF agrees with UEFA's position that an automatic suspension of at least one match following a red card is not subject to subsequent discretionary review. This principle is clearly established in FIFA's own regulations. We disagree with FIFA's interpretation that Article 27 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code allows the politically elected Disciplinary Committee to overturn an automatic suspension in this manner. It is particularly troubling that this has been done without any transparency regarding the committee's assessment or reasoning. This represents a serious intervention in the fundamental rules governing the competition. It is therefore important that FIFA now provides full transparency about the circumstances and rationale behind such an extraordinary decision.

This is about more than tonight's Round of 16 match between the United States and Belgium. It is about the integrity of football as a whole and the protection of the fundamental principles of fair play, both at the FIFA World Cup and across the world's biggest sport.

Tucker says he accidentally obtained the Thomas Crooks social media posts the FBI claimed didn't exist, then called Kash Patel and Dan Bongino looking for answers.

Bongino, a friend of many years, allegedly became hysterical before finally telling him to take it up with Trump, who he said killed the Butler investigation himself.

The combination of a fast-moving virus-fatal in up to 50% of cases-and a region rife with armed fighters has made an already difficult task of controlling the epidemic even harder, according to health experts.

The local Islamic State franchise, which originated in neighboring Uganda, has killed more than 4,000 people over the past six years in attacks on churches, villages and other locations, according to estimates by the U.S.-based Bridgeway Foundation, a nonprofit which tracks militant activity in East and Central Africa. The U.S. State Department designated the insurgents a global terrorist group in 2021.

This past weekend, militants attacked the village of Babila Babombi, where they killed seven people and torched dozens of houses, Congo's military said. The United Nations said Tuesday that militants had killed some 170 people last month in attacks in Ituri Province, epicenter of both the epidemic and the insurgency.

The group's leader, Musa Baluku, runs its operations from Mambasa, according to Africa Security Analysis, a think tank based in Sweden. Ugandan troops deployed to combat Islamic State have made some headway but been unable to stamp out the insurgents.

Amid the violence, some 4,300 people have been exposed to Bundibugyo in three affected provinces, Congo's Health Ministry said Wednesday. The International Rescue Committee, a New York-based charity that supports displaced people, says that is likely an underestimate, with the number of people exposed perhaps five times that number.

I would like to talk to you and clear the air. I will not be performing at the Great American State Fair on June 25th. I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading. I asked lots of questions and was assured this was a nonpartisan event that was meant to celebrate ALL 50 states. In my mind I thought this was a great way to celebrate the states and also bring people together in the way that only music can. I saw it as just a bigger version of so many state fairs I have performed at over the years, celebrating community and what makes each state special. Sounds fun, right? Wholesome even. Yesterday things started changing and what we were told is, in fact, not what is happening.

I've spent my entire career singing songs about real people with real issues. I've been blessed with the opportunity to be a voice for those who have felt like they didn't have one. It greatly upsets me that any fan who has been moved by my music may now feel like I'm abandoning the meaning behind those songs. I assure you, that is not the case. I appreciate every single fan who has reached out. I hope to get back to the DC area very soon.

And I don't want a Pope who criticizes the President of the United States because I'm doing exactly what I was elected, IN A LANDSLIDE, to do, setting Record Low Numbers in Crime, and creating the Greatest Stock Market in History. Leo should be thankful because, as everyone knows, he was a shocking surprise. He wasn't on any list to be Pope, and was only put there by the Church because he was an American, and they thought that would be the best way to deal with President Donald J. Trump. If I wasn't in the White House, Leo wouldn't be in the Vatican. Unfortunately, Leo's Weak on Crime, Weak on Nuclear Weapons, does not sit well with me, nor does the fact that he meets with Obama Sympathizers like David Axelrod, a LOSER from the Left, who is one of those who wanted churchgoers and clerics to be arrested. Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician. It's hurting him very badly and, more importantly, it's hurting the Catholic Church!
