Rep. Dave Min
@congressmin
Official account for Congressional Representative Dave Min (CA-47).
A big thank you to our incredible Summer Min-terns! Seeing young people choose public service—and bring so much energy, curiosity, and compassion to the work—gives me real hope for the future. I’m inspired by their commitment to our community and their dedication to serving the people of CA-47.
I joined our local Planned Parenthood for a town hall to hear directly about how these Medicaid cuts are threatening access to care, straining providers, and creating new uncertainty for families who rely on Planned Parenthood and Medicaid for essential health services.
I was honored to join the 17th Annual 727 Armistice Day Commemoration to recognize the nearly 1.8 million American service members who fought to defend freedom and democracy during the Korean War and to celebrate the enduring alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea.
Nearly 6,000 people followed the rules and applied for pardons through the DOJ. Not one received a pardon. Meanwhile, Trump’s political allies, wealthy donors, and insiders skipped the process entirely.
After more than 33 years in public service, UC Irvine Police Chief Liz Griffin is retiring. Chief Griffin led UCIPD with integrity, advancing community-centered policing, strengthening accountability, and building trust across campus.
There’s always money in the banana stand! I stopped by Sugar ’n Spice on Balboa Island to celebrate its 81st anniversary.
The new “Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights” held an entire taxpayer-funded hearing attacking DEI and supposed bias in legal education—without inviting witnesses who could meaningfully speak to law school accreditation, admissions, or how law schools actually operate.
Donald Trump’s idea of “justice” is much different than mine. I believe in a world where everyone is held accountable and we go after pedophiles and sex traffickers.
President Trump has turned one of the most solemn powers of the presidency into a tool for rewarding political allies, wealthy donors, fraudsters, and insiders with access to the White House.
A task force supposedly created to defend constitutional rights continues to ignore illegal searches and seizures, politically motivated prosecutions, and the Constitution’s clear limits on presidential power, instead going after one of our most cherished American values.
Calling all college students and recent graduates! Join our D.C. Capitol office or Costa Mesa district office to gain hands-on experience in public service, serve CA-47, and become an integral part of Team Min. Applications due by Friday 7/24: min.house.gov/services/internships
This is what authoritarians do. They lie and they cheat to hold on to power. But we the people can and must stand up to this. My full statement here:
The Korean War was a brutal civil war that divided families and killed 10% of the civilian population. It ended over 70 years ago, but the formal declaration of war is still in place.
In the world’s richest country, no one should go hungry. But more than 4 million Americans are struggling to put food on the table because Trump and the GOP wanted chose tax breaks for billionaires over food assistance programs.
250 years ago, our Founders declared independence based on the radical idea that all men are created equal and endowed with unalienable rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This July 4, let us commit to continuing to fight for that American Dream for the next 250 years.
Mike Johnson sent us home for the second week in a row because House Republicans couldn’t govern. This is what dysfunction looks like: no results, no leadership, no accountability. The American people deserve a Congress that actually does its job.
Today’s Oversight interview with Leon Black was a voluntary interview. And he incredibly claimed that he had had ZERO contact with women through Epstein and that he knew NOTHING about any sex trafficking. Complete horseshit.
Today, @oversightdemocrats.bsky.social will be interviewing Leon Black.
I was so honored to celebrate some of our Congressional Award recipients here in DC to recognize their personal growth, community service, and physical fitness.
Today marks the 4th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision overturning Roe v. Wade, stripping millions of women of their fundamental right to reproductive freedom.
Recently, this year’s Congressional Art Competition winner, Mia Chun, had her artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. I am grateful to recognize the young artists in CA-47, and congratulations to Mia Chun for her hard work and creativity!
Had a blast participating in the Congressional Baseball Game! This was my second time playing, and I still can’t get over the fact I got to play in a big league ballpark in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans, and once again got a hit, driving in the Democrats’ only two runs of the game 💪🏼.
I was honored to join my colleagues on the House steps today to wear orange in memory of Hadiya Pendleton and every life taken or forever changed by gun violence.
Had a great time at the Congressional baseball game yesterday, which raised over $3.2 million for charity! While the Dems lost 11-2, we battled valiantly. And yours truly was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.
It’s Congressional Baseball Game Day! Today’s game brings Members from both parties together to support local charities. See you out there, let’s play ball.
We love our Min-terns! Alexis, Meghan, Kirsten, Jordan, Emmanuel, and Elaf played an important role in helping our office serve CA-47, and I am so grateful for their hard work and dedication. I can’t wait to see where their careers take them next. Learn more: min.house.gov/services/internships
A new park in Costa Mesa! I was so proud to join Costa Mesa leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Shalimar Park, a project I was proud to help fund during my time in the State Senate.
This Gun Violence Prevention Month, I’m proud to partner with @alsobrooks.senate.gov on this bicameral resolution to honor victims and survivors, recognize those working to prevent violence, and reaffirm our commitment to make our communities safer.
