I joined our local Planned Parenthood for a town hall to hear directly about how these Medicaid cuts are threatening access to care, straining providers, and creating new uncertainty for families who rely on Planned Parenthood and Medicaid for essential health services.

The Korean War was a brutal civil war that divided families and killed 10% of the civilian population. It ended over 70 years ago, but the formal declaration of war is still in place.

In the world’s richest country, no one should go hungry. But more than 4 million Americans are struggling to put food on the table because Trump and the GOP wanted chose tax breaks for billionaires over food assistance programs.

250 years ago, our Founders declared independence based on the radical idea that all men are created equal and endowed with unalienable rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This July 4, let us commit to continuing to fight for that American Dream for the next 250 years.

Mike Johnson sent us home for the second week in a row because House Republicans couldn’t govern. This is what dysfunction looks like: no results, no leadership, no accountability. The American people deserve a Congress that actually does its job.

Recently, this year’s Congressional Art Competition winner, Mia Chun, had her artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. I am grateful to recognize the young artists in CA-47, and congratulations to Mia Chun for her hard work and creativity!

Had a blast participating in the Congressional Baseball Game! This was my second time playing, and I still can’t get over the fact I got to play in a big league ballpark in front of tens of thousands of screaming fans, and once again got a hit, driving in the Democrats’ only two runs of the game 💪🏼.

I was honored to join my colleagues on the House steps today to wear orange in memory of Hadiya Pendleton and every life taken or forever changed by gun violence.

Had a great time at the Congressional baseball game yesterday, which raised over $3.2 million for charity! While the Dems lost 11-2, we battled valiantly. And yours truly was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs.

A new park in Costa Mesa! I was so proud to join Costa Mesa leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Shalimar Park, a project I was proud to help fund during my time in the State Senate.
