It was so fun to hang out with @wiswell.bsky.social at his book launch for The Dragon has no complaints. @jomiles.bsky.social did a fantastic job hosting. Afterwards, we all stopped for ears and ice cream to catch up where I met @restingdinoface.bsky.social. Dragons, dinosaurs, and Chutzpah!

So, I've gotten pushback on this cover. Heck, I should... I hand painted it. But its energy, its rawness, it color palette is something makes me happy. I don't want a mass manufactured cover and I sure as hell don't want an AI cover.

The cover for Hornytown Chutzpah was hand painted using acrylic paint. It features a detective carrying a super soaker filled with Manischewitz surrounding by demonic water balloons.

This is the Monument to the Great Fire of London. I am glad they did not make it out of wood. Seriously though, it is impressive and I like the way it is framed and backlit.

The monument to London’s Great Fire is a tall spire. It is nestled between two neoclassical buildings. The monument is backlit with the sun directly behind the structure.

Still tickled that 2026 Hugo Award winner Jennifer Hudak wrote a blurb specifically for imy novella's glossary. It reads "(Hornytown Chutzpah's) glossary is fantastic. I love it!"

The blurb is on a gray black wall that has been spritzed with Manischewitz. A cartoon Sol and Urrie stand near. Either might have done it.
